Good news- I got an 84 on my Phonetics test, which is middle B. I was happy to see that. The final counts for 40%, so there�s plenty of chance to make a B in that class. I could even make an A, but I think I�ll just be realistic and accept a B. I am expecting A�s in all my other classes, though- well, Culture, I don�t know. It�s the teacher�s fault- the original teacher that we had. She was horrible. I�ve talked to several other people who have agreed that she is definitely an antropologist, but not teacher material.
The funny thing is that the class I started out hating so much, Phonetics, has turned into my favorite and absolutely most useful class. I have learned so much in there and am so happy I had to take it. I love the teacher- she calls me and Becky her "bebes" (babys) and we talk to her a lot about her grandchildren and Cuba, etc... Phonetics is one of the most useful classes ever. I have learned so many excellent rules for Spanish pronunciation and accentuation and even spelling. Now I understand why they require students who are going into teaching to take it. I am so happy I did and can�t say enough good things about this class.
Yesterday I went to the restaurant with Becky, Allegra and Becky�s roomate. It was so nice. The food, of course, was excellent. I hope I get to go back at least once before I leave.
Talked to Charles and my mother online last night. That was really nice. My dad said a word or two, also. He is excited about me getting back and mentioned vacations. Hehe. I am looking forward to that. I laugh because I am kind of on vacation now. But anyhow, vacation in AMERICA will be nice. I am hoping we go to my favorite theme park, Kings Dominion. Well, I know we are going there, but I hope soon!
Still haven�t heard any news or progress on my changing the plane ticket. I need to check into that.
Last night Becky and I rented a movie, "Bring it On" and watched it at the school. I will have to tell the story of what happened tomorrow, though, because they are shutting the lights out on me, here!
