Classroom Procedures:
Come to school everyday.
Students will walk in straight quiet lines.
Always look to the board for instructions when coming into the room -- immediately start the work after Morning Organizational Task (M.O.T.).
Homework will be handed in during M.O.T. time, which is 5 minutes after students have entered the classroom.
No one will leave his or her seat during class time. Trash will be thrown out on the way to recess or lunch.
Raise your hands and wait to be called on if you have any questions.
All homework and classwork will be done nicely and neatly.
Sharing answers to tests and classroom work will cause both students to earn a "O".
To keep parents/guardians updated, test notices will be sent home for a parent/guardian signature, which must be returned the following day with the homework.
Homework logs will be handed out each Monday. They will be filled out everyday at school and parents/guardians should check the homework and sign the homework log daily.
It is the student's responsibility to fulfill make-up homework within 2 days. On the side of the room, there will be a basket that will have all the homework.
The teacher will provide lined paper, however, students may bring their own paper except spiral-bound notebook paper. This is not allowed due to the mess that it creates.
Students are not to bring personal pencil sharpeners to school.
Toys, gadgets, candy, and all other items are not allowed in school. If they are brought to school, they will be taken away and disposed of by the teacher.
