Chapter 9: The Mysterious Guy
In the middle of the night, they were woke up with a sudden knock on the door. Ashley went to the door to see who was there. When she opened it, she found Mikey and Dale Jr. out of breath.
�Are you guys alright?� Ashley asked curiously.
�Let us come in please and I�ll explain.� Mikey said worried bout the guy.
�Ok.� Ashley said. �You guys can come in.� The boys came in and sat on the couch
�Were sorry we woke you up but we had no where else to run.� Mikey said
�Why Mikey?� Amanda asked curiously concerned bout her boyfriend
�Some person we don�t know just came and broke down the door.� Mikey said. �So we hid and when he went in one of the rooms, we snuck out the door and ran here.�
�You can stay here if you want to.� Ashley offered
�Thanks girls!� Mikey and Jr said together.
�Do you think we should let Teresa and Mike Helton knows?� Mikey asked jr as he looked at him.
�I think we should let Teresa and Mike Helton know about this.� Jr said.
�Yea but do you think we should call right now?� Mikey asked worried they�d get mad if they woke them up.
�I think we should call them right now and tell them what happened.� Jr said
�Did you get your cell phone as we were trying to get out?� Mikey asked again worried
�Yes I did.� Jr said
�That�s a good thing since you have a lot of phone numbers stored in the directory on ur phone.� Mikey said relieved. Jr then started looking for Teresa�s # in the directory and then hit enter after he found it.
Teresa woke up when she heard her cell phone ring, �Hello?� Teresa said
�Hello.� Jr said. �Teresa, can I tell you something very very important that just went on?�
�What went on?� Teresa said.
�Me and Mikey were sleeping when this guy we have no clue about knocked the door down and came in.� Jr started. �We ran into another room and when he went into one, we ran out the door and to Ashley and Amanda�s hotel room�
�Ok.� Teresa said. �You guys need to call Mike Helton and tell him what happen.�
�We were going to do that after we finished talking to you.� Jr said
�Bye Teresa.� Jr said. �I need to go call Mike like ya said.� Teresa says bye. Teresa hung the phone up and went back to sleep. Jr then called Mike Helton and told him all about what happened.
�Are you guy�s safe where you are?� Mike Helton asked concerned
�I don�t know because the weird guy might know where we are.� Jr said sounding a little worried
�Ok.� Mike said trying to decide what to do. �Where are you now?�
�At my girlfriend�s house.� Jr said. �I mean, hotel.� Mikey looked at jr when he said that to Mike and when jr turned around, Mikey just looked at him with a mad look.
�Mikey, why are you giving me that mad look?� Jr asked curious
�I�ll tell you after.� Mikey said.
�Fine.� Jr said. Jr then asked Mike Helton if he had any other ideas or had something to tell them.
�Stay there tonight.� Mike Helton said. �If he shows up again�call me.�
�Ok.� Jr said. �Bye Mike.�
�Goodnight jr and thanks for letting me know.� Mike said.
�Your welcome.� Jr said. �Bye.� Jr hanged up the phone and put it back in his pocket. Then Mikey, Amanda, Ashley and, Jr went to sleep.
The next morning, they all woke up and were getting ready for the day. As Mikey walked pass the door, he heard something outside.
�Did you hear something outside when we walked pass the door?� Mikey asked curiously
�No.� Jr replied. �What did you hear?�
�Something real strange.� Mikey replied trying to describe what happened.
�Oh.� Jr said thinking bout that.
�What should we do?� Mikey asked
�How the hell do I know?� Jr replied.
�Oh ok.� Mikey said.
�Sorry I don�t.� Jr replied. Ashley looked over and then heard her cell ring. Ashley got her cell and answers it.
�Hey.� Ashley said.
�Hey Ash.� Nicole said. �It�s Nicole. Why haven�t you called lately?�
�I have been busy getting a job with foxsports.com and hanging out with Amanda.� Ashley replied. �And hanging in Florida with someone.�
�What job are you trying to get?� Nicole asked getting more curious. �And who is this someone.�
�That job that I am trying to get is a interview job and the someone is jr.� Ashley said happily
�Are you close to getting it?� Nicole said. �oooo�..jr�..now, tell me more.�
�Yes I�m close.� Ashley said. �Well, we went on a date and he posed to me.�
�That is cool that he posed to you.� Nicole said. �What else is going on?�
�And I said yes to him.� Ashley said. �Hmm�.Amanda is with Mikey!�
�What?� Nicole yelled. �I wanted Mikey. Anyways, is Martin Truex Jr still open?�
�Don�t get mad.� Ashley said. �Martin is still single. Why?�
�I�m not mad now if Martin�s single.� Nicole said relived. �Ok, I want to know because Mikey was first, then Martin� Well Ashley was talking to Nicole, Jr and Mikey were listening for another weird sound by the door.
�What is wrong with Mikey and Jr?� Amanda asked curious of what they were doing.
�Hold on Nicole, Amanda is asking me something.� Ashley told Nicole. Ashley then turned to Amanda. �I don�t know. Do you want to ask?�
�Hmm�.yes since me and Mikey are together.� Amanda said.
�Ok.� Ashley said. Ashley then went back on the phone and continues talking to Nicole bout getting Nicole and Martin together. Well Ashley was doing that, Amanda went to see what was wrong with the boys.
�What is wrong Mikey and Jr?� Amanda asked curious. �Did you hear the same noise again or a different noise?�
�Different.� Mikey replied.
�Shhh...I think I hear something being put together right outside are door.� Jr said still listening.
�Ok.� Amanda said. �Let take a different door to get out and then we can go to the track.�
�There�s no other door but we could jump off the porch.� Jr suggested. Ashley finally got off the phone and came over.
�What is up with jumping off the porch?� Ashley said curious of what they were talking about.
�There is not another exit so I decided for us to jump off the porch.� Jr told Ashley filling her in
�Jr, will you answer my question?� Mikey said getting a little pissed off. �How high is it and will you go first?�
�It�s not that high Mikey.� Jr said looking to see how high it was. �Fine, I�ll go first.� Jr went over and opened the door. He then jumped. Jr landed on his feet then Mikey went 2nd and he landed on his feet too.
Ashley then jumped and as she jumped, she screamed, �Catch me if you think I won�t land on my feet.� Ashley ended up landing on her feet also. The only person left was Amanda. Amanda jumped and then asked the guys to catch her. The guys caught her and started running to the track.
�Let�s go tell Mike Helton.� Amanda said. They ran to the track to see Mike Helton and tell him what happened.
�Mike, we have something to tell you and it might relate to last night.� Jr said.
�Ok.� Mike said getting ready to listen to the report
�Mikey heard a weird sound outside the girl�s door.� Jr started. �So he told me and we listened for another and heard one. So we then jumped off the porch and ran here.�
�Ok.� Mike said thinking what to do next. �I will call the police and tell them what is going on with you guys.�
�Ok.� Jr said.
Ashley standed there for a sec and then said, �Hey, this guy is like that guy that kept following us till Joe found him. Maybe that guy got away from Joe.�
�I agree with you Ashley.� Amanda agreed.
�Can I have a description on the other guy and if you have one on this guy?� Mike asked curiously
�Yes you can.� Ashley said remembering the description. �He�s about 6� tall with brown hair and brown eyes.�
Jr standed there for a sec and said, �That is the same description as this guy. Damn it! We got the same guy I think.�
�Ok.� Mike said. �Thanks for the information on this guy.�
�Not a problem with us.� Jr said. �To get him away and stop creeping me out, I�d do anything.�
�I can move you to another hotel if you want me to?� Mike suggested trying to help them out.
�Well, that may help but we moved from are hotel to the girl�s last night and it didn�t work.� Jr said. �So�.�
�Ok.� Mike Helton said. �Do you have any suggestions?�
�Nope.� Jr said.
�Ok.� Mike Helton said as he turned towards Mikey. �What about you Mikey?�
�Jr, where is the crew staying?� Mikey said as he was thinking of an idea.
�I think that they are staying like a few blocks down from where you guys are staying.� Mike said trying to remember the hotel arrangements. Tony Jr then came running in with Slugger.
�Oh my.� Tony Jr. �This is gonna make me go crazy. This guy is making sounds outside are door. We saw you guys jump out the window. He then came to are hotel and we heard weird sounds and the Napa, bud and Pennzoil crews, jumped off the porch also.�
�I think this is serious.� Mike said thinking about the situations.
�Me too.� Slugger said thinking the same way. �This guy is trying to get the DEI teams.�
�Ok.� Mike said. �Thanks for the information. I will call the police and try to find this guy. I would put all of you guys in a different hotel where he hopefully will not find you guys.�
�I think if we spread into groups of 3, it might be better.� Slugger suggested trying to avoid more trouble.
�Ok.� Mike said. �That might be better.� And Jr, Mikey, Tony Jr, Amanda and Ashley agreed with Slugger. They all shakes their head yes.
�Ok.� Mike said. They all left the trailer and started walking to the garage
