Chapter 10: Did Ashley get the job?
Ashley decided to go to the Hollywood hotel and find out if she got the job or not. When she got there, she knocked on the door and door was opened by Chris.
�Hi.� Ashley said. �I am here to find out about the job.�
�Come on in.� Chris said. �We have to tell ya.�
�Ok.� Ashley said getting a little nervous. Then she sat down in the chair.
�We have read your beautiful interview.� Jeff started. �It was close call between you and this other girl but you go the job. Here�s what ya need and Mr. Camera man is right outside the door waiting for you.�
�Thank you.� Ashley accepted. �I hope that I will enjoy working with you guys.� Then she left the Hollywood hotel and saw Mr. Camera man waiting for her.
�Hello.� Mr. Camera man greeted. �Now, coverage starts in 5mins of happy hour. So, anyone you want to interview first?�
�Ok.� Ashley replied. Ashley standed there and thought. She then said, �Let�s go interview Dale Jr. since he looks good this weekend and also since he is the dominator at plate racing.
�Ok.� The camera man said. They both ran down the stairs and started walking over to the garage where jr was talking with the other DEI boys.
�Excuse me Jr, but I need to interview you for happy hour.� Ashley said.
Jr turned and said, �Ashley, you got the job!!! Congratulations. I will be glad to do the interview.�
�Yes I did get the job.� Ashley replied all ready for the interview. �Thanks. We will be on in 3 minutes.�
�Ok then.� Jr said. �Guys, I�ll tell ya more after this interview.�
�Ok.� All the guys said that were standing around.
The Camera man started getting ready and said, �Ok, fox is doing a introduction to the show now. Right after Chris Myers says lets go to are newest member Ashley McCubbin, you start.�
�Let�s go to are newest member of the crew, Ashley McCubbin who is standing by with Dale Earnhardt Jr.� Chris Myers said after he and Jeff were done the introduction
�Jr how is your car today?� Ashley asked starting the interview off.
�Pretty good.� Jr answered. �Of course we think that since this is our first and only practice for the bud shootout.�
�Ok.� Ashley said. �Thanks.� Ashley then thought for a minute and then said, �Now, we heard that there is a thing NASCAR has found on all 3 DEI cars that maybe helping them win the plate races. Truth or rumor?�
�That is a rumor because RCR is doing the same thing as DEI.� Jeff Hammond butted in.
�Jeff, then why aren�t the RCR cars as dominant as the DEI cars?� Ashley asked Jeff Hammond.
�Because NASCAR think that DEI is dominant as RCR but I don�t know why they wanted to check the DEI cars.� Jeff Hammond said.
�Well, to find the answer to why they wanted to check the cars, let�s ask jr.� Ashley said, �Do you know why NASCAR wanted to check the DEI cars?�
�Mike told me that he wanted to check them because we have been beating the competition really bad and no other team has won lately.� Jr started. �Are team�s reason for running so good is the RAD program and that DEI puts a lot of work into plate racing.�
�Thanks.� Ashley said. �Is DEI and RCR using the exact same stuff?�
�I think that RCR is using the same stuff as DEI.� Jr answered.
�So the rumor is false right?� Ashley asked to end it off.
�Right.� Jr said.
�Thanks for your time.� Ashley said. �Now let�s go to Matt Yocum who is standing with Mikey.�
�Mikey, how does your car feel today?� Matt Yocum asked.
�Very good.� Mikey said.
