Chapter 85: The Night Time Fun
They all headed back to their motor coaches and got their street clothes on and then meet up with the girls. They had decided earlier that they�d go out to dinner and then hang out somewhere. Jr went to Robby�s motor coach and asked him if he wanted to hang out.
�Sure,� Robby said.
�Ok,� Jr said. �Would you like to bring alone Martin and we can talk about stuff?�
�Sure that would be cool,� Robby accepted.
�Ok just meet me over at my motor coach in a hour ok?� Jr told Martin.
�Sure thing with me,� replied Robby.
�Ok,� Jr said. �See you in a hr.�
�Ok then,� Robby said.
Then Jr left and headed back to his motor coach. While walking back to the motor coach Jeff stopped him for a minute.
�Hey Jr,� Jeff said.
�Hey Jeff,� Jr said. �So what�s up?�
�Nuttin,� Jeff answered. �Just wanted to say good job on a great qualifying effort. This is not one of your good tracks usually.�
�Thanks,� Jr thanked Jeff. �Well I need to go. I will see you tomorrow.�
�Sure thing,� Jeff said. �See ya after happy hr.�
�Ok bye,� Jr said. So Jr continued on his way to his motor coach. When Jr got to his motor coach Ashley was sitting there waiting for him. �Hi Ashley.�
�Hey sweetie,� Ashley said.
�Hey I am going out with the guys tonight,� Jr said. �Would you like to come with us?�
�Of course I would,� Ashley answered.
�Ok,� Jr said. �Were just going out for dinner and then going to hang out somewhere.�
�Ok that�s fine with me,� Ashley told Jr.
�Ok,� Jr said. �The guys will be here in 45minutes. We got some alone time for a bit before they come.�
�Cool,� Ashley said.
�Yep,� Jr said. �So what do you want to do?�
�I dunno,� Ashley answered. �I mean I don�t got any ideas. I�m just glad to see ya since we haven�t got to talk all day.�
�Ok,� Jr said. �What about we just talk?�
�Ok,� Ashley answered.
So they talked until Robby and Martin came. Then Kevin and Mikey showed up with their girls.
�Wait I need to call Nicole and ask her if she wants to come with us,� Martin told them. then he called her and asked her if she would like to hang out with them and she accepted.
Then the waited for Nicole to show up. Then they went out for dinner. They got a table when they got to the restaurant and ordered what they wanted. They then all talked together.
�Guess who stopped me when I was going to my motor coach?� Jr started. �Jeff Gordon!�
�Oh what did he want?� Kevin asked.
�Just told me that I did good in qualifying today and then he told me that he will see us after happy hr,� Jr answered.
�Oh yeah that�s right,� Kevin said. �Were going out with him and Jimmie for lunch tomorrow. Guys do you think it�s a good idea?�
�I guess it�s a good idea,� replied Ashley.
�They have been being nice to you guys as of late,� Amanda added.
�Yes,� Jr agreed.
�But what if they are just setting us up?� Kevin wondered.
�Now I am thinking about they are setting us up,� Jr told them. �We need a plan.�
�What if we tell are crew members and we have some kind of things that connects us both where if we hit it it�ll go off and they�ll know that were in trouble?� Mikey suggested.
�That is an alright plan but we need to think some more,� Jr shared his opinion.
�Like a back-up plan Jr?� Kevin asked.
�Yea,� Jr answered.
�Good thinking,� Ashley commented.
�What is our real plan?� Mikey asked.
�What if we get one of are crew chiefs to have a walkie talkie in their pocket and then one of us has one and we leave em on so if anything goes on the crew chiefs can report it to their pit crews and the other crew chiefs so they can tell their pit crews and also tell Mike Helton?� Robby suggested. �What do ya�ll think of that?�
�Are you nuts Robby about that plan?� Kevin asked.
�It could work,� Mikey told Kevin. �We just have to make sure that we have good batteries in the walkie talkies & we have a reliable crew chief and we make sure that Jimmie and Jeff can�t see it.�
�Ok,� Kevin said. �Lets go with that plan. Do you agree with them Jr about the plan?�
�If no one can think of something better then lets go with it,� Jr agreed with the plan.
�Ok Jr,� they all said.
So then the waiter brought their supper. Then they started to eat their supper. As they were eating they were trying to think of a place to hang out. Then Kevin remembers that he and Dalandra will be going back to the trailer so they will not be joining them. Mikey then gets a idea that they could go bowling and he tells them.
�Yeah that would be a excellent idea to me since I love bowling and its always fun when ya do it with some of your closest friends,� Ashley said.
�That is a good idea,� Amanda agreed. �Lets go!�
So they paid the bill and then they headed out the door. They say bye to Kevin and Dalandra and then head to the bowling alley. When they got to the bowling alley they all got shoes and a ball each. Then they got a alley. Ashley put all the names up on the screen and they got ready to bowl. The 1st bowler was Jr.
�Lets see if he can hit all the pins,� Mikey said.
When Jr bowled he got a strike.
�Nice throw Jr!� Ashley complemented him.
�Thanks,� Jr thanked her.
Then it was Ashley�s turn. �Your welcome and I dun think I could ever do a throw like that,� Ashley told him.� When Ashley threw the ball down the alley she hit 9 pins. �Told ya so.�
�Way to go Ashley!� Jr complemented her.
�Just throw the second ball a little to the right and you should have a spare!� Mikey told her.
So Ashley threw the ball and got a spare. �Thanks a lot for the advice Mikey!� Ashley thanked her.
�No problems,� replied Mikey.
�It is now your turn Mikey,� Amanda told him. �Good luck.�
�Thanks Amanda,� Mikey thanked her. So he went up to bowl and he got a strike.
�Way to go Mikey!� Amanda complemented Mikey.
�Thanks,� Mikey thanked her. �Its your turn Amanda.� So she went up to bowl and got a strike also. �Way to go Amanda!�
�Thanks,� Amanda thanked him. �Its your turn Martin!�
�Ok,� Martin said. He took his turn. He then hit 8 pins.
�Get the rest of the pins and you will get a spare!� Nicole told him
So Martin then threw his second ball and got one pin to equal a total of 9 pins.
�Oh,� Nicole said. �You will do better next time. Anyways its my turn.�
�Good luck,� Martin complemented her.
�Thanks,� Nicole thanked him. So Nicole goes up and takes her turn and she got 5 pins down.
�No worries,� Martin said. �You�ll get the other half this time.�
When Nicole went back up to bowl for her 2nd shot she got a spare. It was Robby�s turn. When Robby went up to bowl he got a strike.�
�Nice throw,� Jr complemented him.
�Thanks Jr,� Robby thanked her. �Its your turn Jr.�
So Jr goes up and gets a strike to go with his first. They all took turns bowling and at the 10th frame they all got strikes. They then checked the scores to find out that Jr, Mikey, Amanda and Robby got all perfect scores.
�Nice job to you all on those scores,� Ashley congratulated them.
�Thanks,� Jr, Mikey, Amanda and Robby congratulated them.
�We all did real good tonight,� Jr comments. �All that matters is that we had fun!�
�Right,� Ashley agreed.
�We have got to do this again,� Mikey told them.
�Ok,� Jr said. �Maybe in a few weeks.�
�Well we got a off weekend coming up right after this race so maybe then or maybe we could do it in Vegas,� Ashley suggested.
�No since I just want to relax on my weekend off ok Ashley?� Jr asked her.
�Fair enough,� Ashley accepted. �Then maybe we�ll do it in Vegas.�
�What will be fine with me,� Mikey, Amanda and Martin said.
�Ok,� Jr said. �We will go bowling when we are in Vegas.�
�Yeah,� Robby said. �I think we should start heading back. We got happy hr early tomorrow morning plus have to set up are plan for Jeff and Jimmie incase they are setting us up.�
�Sounds great Robby,� Jr agreed.
So they started to head back. When they got back to the track they all said bye to each other and headed to their motor coaches. Then they went to bed.
