Chapter 82: Mikey’s Surprise Party
Then the pit reports went to the meeting.
“Hello to you all,” Jeff started the meeting off.
“Hi Jeff,” Ashley, Marty and Matt said.
“Thanks to you all for coming to a quick meeting,” Jeff thanked them.
“You all did a great job today,” Chris complemented them.
“Thanks,” Marty, Matt and Ashley thanked them.
“Your welcome,” replied Chris.
“You did very good today and keep it up until we end our season,” Jeff added.
“Thanks,” Marty, Matt and Ashley thanked them.
“That is it,” Chris told them. “Have a good week and see you on Friday when we do qualifying from California. Bye!”
“Bye!” they all said.
Then Ashley went to meet Jr and the others who were getting ready for Mikey’s party. When Ashley got to where Jr was she gave him a big hug.
“Thanks,” Jr thanked her. “Lets get ready for Mikey’s party.”
“Ok and your welcome,” replied Ashley.
They then get ready and set up for Mikey’s victory party. After they were set up they waited till it was party time.
Mikey got back to the motor coach and Amanda was waiting for him outside the motor coach
“Hey sweetie,” Amanda said when he got into the motor coach.
“Hi honey,” Mikey said.
“How does it feel to win the Daytona 500 yet again?” Amanda wondered.
“Great,” Mikey answered.
“Ok,” Amanda said. “Lets go in. I got a surprise for you.”
“Ok,” Mikey said. Then they went in. Mikey was so surprised about the surprise party! “Wow thanks guys.”
“Your welcome,” everyone replied.
“What CD would you like me to put in?” Amanda asked.
“The Toby Keith one please,” Mikey answered.
“Ok,” Amanda said. So Amanda put the CD in the CD player.
And then Jr said, “Who wants cake?”
“Me!” everyone screamed.
“Ok,” Jr said. So Jr cut everyone a piece of cake and everyone had cake.
After they finished the cake, Mikey thanked everyone for the great party.
“It’s the last we can do for the Daytona 500 champ,” Jr told him.
“Yep,” Mikey agreed. “It’s a DEI weekend!”
“That’s for sure,” Jr said.
“Ok,” Mikey said. “What do you guys want to do?”
“Party!” Shane screamed.
“Ok,” Jr said.
So everyone partied till a note slipped under the trailer door. Mikey got it and read it. “It says ya got us this time yet next time ya wont. Signed the unknown. Com and see this. Do you know who wrote this letter?”
“I have a feeling it’s the devils Jimmie and Jeff,” Jr told Mikey as he looked over Mikey’s shoulder at the note.
“Can I see that?” Kevin asked.
“Sure,” Mikey answered. He then handed it to Kevin.
So Kevin looked at it and he figured out who wrote the note. “Jr your right,” Kevin told Jr. “Its Jeff.”
“Lets take this note to Mike Helton right now so he can read this,” Jr said.
“Ok then,” Kevin said.
Then they took Mike Helton the letter.
Jr went into the trailer and said, “Mike this note slipped under the trailer door during are after party.”
“Ok do you know who did it?” Mike wondered.
“I looked at the writing close and it looks like Jeff’s writing,” Kevin answered.
“Ok,” Mike said. “I will find out who did this so they don’t race next weekend in California.”
“Ok,” Jr said.
“Thanks for letting me know about this and congratulations on Mikey on the win,” Mike continued.
“Thanks Mike,” Mikey thanked Mike.
“Your welcome,” replied Mike. “Well I will let you guys go. Have a great party and a great week. Bye!”
“Bye!” they all said.
Then they went back to Mikey’s motor coach to finish up the party.
When they got there, Shane said, “Where’d ya’ll go? I went to the washroom and when I came out nobody’s here.”
“Well we went to Mike Helton because Mikey found a note at the door and…,” Kevin started.
“Whoever wrote it can’t race next weekend,” Mikey finished it off. “We think Jeff Gordon wrote it.”
“Oh,” Shane said.
“So we gonna get back to the party?” Kevin wondered.
“Sure,” Mikey answered. So they kept partying. It was 10pm and Mikey was so tired. “Can we end this party cause I’m tired?”
“Sure,” replied Jr.
“Thanks,” Mikey thanked them. “Night.”
“Night Amanda and Mikey,” everyone said. So everyone left and went to bed.
