Chapter 83: Jimmie and Jeff’s Plan
The next morning everyone got up. Jr and Ashley decided to head back to North Carolina with Kevin and Dalandra while Mikey and Amanda stayed in Daytona for the thing at Daytona USA.
Meanwhile Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were chatting.
“Lets make a plan for this Sunday’s race at California,” Jeff started.
“Yeah good idea Jeff,” Jimmie agreed.
So they made a plan for Sunday’s race in California. And then they called their teammates and let them know the plan.
“I’m in,” Terry assured them.
“I will see you guys on Friday and lets do it!” Jeff told him.
So that Friday when all the drivers arrived at California Raceway Jeff meet up with his teammates.
“Hey guys,” Jeff said. “Ready for the plan to be put in action?”
“Yes,” Jimmie, Brian and Terry answered.
“Ok,” Jeff said. So they started putting their plan into action.
Back at Jr.’s motor coach Jr and Ashley were chatting when Mikey knocked at the door.
Jr went and opened the door.
“Hey Jr,” Mikey started. “I need to talk to you about something.”
“Ok,” Jr said.
“Well back on Monday when I was at Daytona USA Jeff and Jimmie were there and they called Brian and terry and they all did a plan,” Mikey told Jr.
“Ok this is not good,” Jr comments.
“I know,” Mikey agrees. “I overheard what they said and they are going to do something bad to us this weekend. We need to let Kevin know about this and then Mike Helton.”
“Good idea,” Jr complemented him.
“Ok,” Mikey said.
So Jr went and told Ashley what Mikey said.
“Oh,” Ashley said. “Lets go and let Mike know.”
“And on the way over I’ll call Kevin and let him know,” Jr added.
“Ok,” Ashley said.
So they headed over to the Nextel Cup trailer. On the way Jr called Kevin. After Jr called Kevin, Jr said to Mikey, “Kevin will be right over.”
“Ok,” Mikey said.
Then they got to the Nextel trailer. They saw Kevin and Dalandra. Then they knocked on Mike Helton’s door.
“Come in,” Mike directed. Then they all walk in. “Good morning boys. What is happening now?”
“Well when I was at Daytona USA on Monday Jeff and Jimmie made up a plan and they got Terry and Brian in it,” Mikey started. “They want to do something bad to us.”
“Ok I will have some officials go get them and have a talk with them plus talk to them about the mystery note you gave me in Daytona,” Mike assured them.
“Ok,” Jr said.
“Good bye for now boys and girls,” Mike said.
Then they left. They headed back to Jr.’s trailer. When they got there, there was another note for them.
Jr read it, “It says ‘hello check the map that I have attached and follow the pathway. I got a secret for yeah. Signed the unknown.’ Mikey and Kevin come look at this writing.”
They looked at it together.
“This looks like Jimmie’s handwriting,” Kevin told them. “Lets show this to Mike Helton.”
“Good idea,” Mikey complemented him.
“Thanks,’ Kevin thanked him.
So they headed back to Mike’s office. When they got there Mike wasn’t there so they headed to the garage area. When they got there they found Mike.
“Hey Mike,” Jr said. “We found this note at my motor coach. It looks like Jimmie Johnson’s handwriting.”
Mike read it and then looked at the map. “Ok,” Mike said. “Thanks for giving this to me.”
“Your welcome,” replied Jr.
“Are you going to do anything about this Mike?” Kevin wondered.
“Long time and for sure no race this weekend and maybe none next weekend,” Mike answered.
“Ok,” Jr said.
“Ok so any more questions or comments or are we done?” Mike asked.
“We are done,” Jr assured him.
“Ok,” Mike said. “See you later boys.”
Then they left and got ready for practice.
