Chapter 7: Lunch at Applebee’s
“Ok.” Jr said. “Do you want to go out for lunch some where?”
“It’s up to you.” Ashley said.
“Ok.” Jr said. “Where would you like to go?”
“It’s up to you again.” Ashley replied.
“Ok.” Jr said. “Let’s go to Applebee’s?”
“Never been but I can always have a first.” Ashley said.
“Ok.” Jr said. So they went to Applebee’s.
When they go there, Jr held Ashley’s hand as they walked in the door. They waited to be seated. So, they find a bench to sit and they just talked while waiting for a table.
“So, how long have you been a fan?” Jr asked just being curious.
“I have been a fan for a long time.” Ashley said.
“That’s kool.” He said. “You ever been to a race or will this is your first?”
“This will be my first race that I ever been to.” She replied. “I always watch it on TV.”
“I see.” Jr thought. “Well, the experience is a awesome one.”
“Ok.” Ashley.
Then they got seated. They ordered their drinks and their food. Then they ate and talked about things
“What do you want to talk about?” Ashley asked
“I don’t know.” Jr said
“I don’t know either.” Ashley said.
“Ok.” Jr said. “Would you like to take a walk at the beach tonight? Just me and you with no one else?”
“Yes.” Ashley said. She then just looked at him for the longest time. Jr was thinking to ask Ashley something but he was worried if she would say no to him.
Ashley just sat there till she said, “Is there something wrong?”
“No.” Jr said. “But can I ask you a question?”
“Sure.” Ashley said.
“Here is the question.” Jr said as he got down on his knees and pops the question to Ashley. “Do you want to marry me?”
“Can I think about it for awhile?.” Ashley said. “Its just I dunno if I’m ready.” After Ashley said that, she gave jr a hug and then they walked back to the hotel. Jr was thinking about what she said. When they got back to the hotel, Ashley couldn’t wait to tell Amanda about the news. Ashley opened the door to find Amanda sitting on the sofa.
“I want to tell you something.” Ashley said.
“What?” Amanda says.
“Jr posed to me.” Ashley says.
“That is cool.” Amanda says.
“He posed to me well we were having lunch.” Ashley said. “Yet I said that I wanna think about first.”
“OK.” Amanda said. “Well, I am going out to dinner with Mikey tonight.”
“Maybe he will pose to you.” Ashley said.
“May be.” Amanda replied. “Well, I need to get ready. It almost 5:30 and I need to meet Mikey at the lobby.”
“Good luck!” Ashley said.
“Thanks.” Amanda said.
