Chapter 68: The Meeting At The Courthouse
The next morning they all met over at Jr.�s motor coach and then they headed over to the courthouse. When they got there Mike Helton was waiting for them.
�Hey Mike,� Jr said when they got there.
�Hello everyone,� Mike said. �How are you all this morning?�
�We are doing alright,� Jr said. �What about you?�
�Fine,� Mike answered.
�Ok,� Jr said. �What is happening with the court thing that we are going to go in?�
�Here�s what I hear,� Mike started. �The judge is in charge of what the call is and her take is she takes both sides and gets a clear understanding and then tells what she chooses to do.�
�Alright Mike,� Jr said.
�Alright lets go in and tell what we thinking is right straight up,� Mike said.
�Ok,� Jr said.
So they went inside and they saw that Jimmie and Jeff were waiting for them.
�I am ready for you guys,� the judge said. �Now lets begin. Alright may one of the people on Dale Jr.�s side express how this started?�
Mikey went up and said, �This whole argument started because of the fact that Jimmie and Jeff hated the fact that Kevin and Jr were still friends after a wreck at California Speedway which was a accident. Also they are mad at the fact that Dale Earnhardt Inc and Richard Childress Racing are dominating the restrictor plates. They say that they are cheating during the Restrictor Plate Races.�
�Ok then what happened next?� the Judge asked.
�Well then when Kevin and Dale Jr meet outside by this pole Jimmie came out and started a argument with them,� Mikey continued. �And that�s how this whole deal started. Want more? Talk to Kevin and Dale Jr.�
�Jr can you tell what happened then?� the Judge asked.
�Ok,� Jr started. �Me and Kevin agreed to meet at the pole in the morning. So what happened was we were talking and Jimmie came up to us and started talking shit about the California deal and me and Harvick being friends after it. After he got frustrated he went and saw Jeff and they came back and grabbed both of us. Then are dear friends came and rescued us. Jimmie hurt Kevin�s arm and Jeff hurt my side.�
�Is that right Jeff and Jimmie?� she asked.
�Half of it is,� Jeff answered.
�Jeff can you tell us what happened?� she questioned.
�Ok judge,� Jeff started. �Jimmie was talking with them and then he came and told me that they were giving him a hard time so I went and saw them. Now it is true we grabbed them and true that Jimmie hurt Kevin�s arm yet it isn�t true that Jr.�s side got hurt by me.�
�How do you know Jeff?� Jr asked.
�I see you and your group playing games,� Jeff answered. �You could of got hurt in one of those games and it didn�t start hurting till after since it only started when you were in the infield care centre with Harvick.�
�We haven�t played games in so long,� Jr countered. �I just think that you want to cheat and blah blah blah!�
�And your jealous about me and Jr being friends,� Kevin added.
�Yea,� Jeff admitted it.
�Oh he admitted it,� Kevin said. �He�s jealous.�
�Yep I admitted it,� Jeff said. �I am jealous of you guys. That�s why I think all of these plans up.�
�So if you were just jealous about us then why�d you get my little sister in to this?� Jr asked.
�I don�t know,� Jeff answered. �Ask Jimmie.�
�Jimmie why�d you and Jeff get Jr.�s little sister in to this?� the judge asked.
�Because I just wanted to put her in the middle of it,� Jimmie answered.
�Well I really don�t think that was fair of you,� Jr started. �I mean she�s the youngest one here just trying to spend some time with me since we hardly get time together.�
�Ok sorry,� Jimmie apologized.
�Sorry won�t change my call,� the judge told Jimmie. �Anything else you guys want to add on Dale Jr.�s side because according to Mike you have a lot of different things that happened to make you guys make this discussion?�
�No,� Jr answered.
�Any last comments Jimmie and Jeff?� the judge asked.
�No,� replied Jimmie and Jeff.
The judge then stood up and said, Ok I have my decision. Jimmie and Jeff will not race on Sunday and have to make up with Kevin and Jr.�
�We are sorry,� Jeff and Jimmie appologized. �We took are jealously way to far.�
�We accept your apology Jeff,� Jr and group said.
�And hope you feel better Martin by Saturday,� Chad added. �Didn�t meant to hurt you.�
�Ok,� Martin said.
�How are you feeling right now Martin?� Mike asked.
�I feel a little bit better then last night,� Martin answered.
�That�s good,� Mike commented. �At least you�re a little a better.�
�Yep,� Martin agreed.
�Well were done here so you boys can get going and have fun,� Mike told them.
�Ok bye Mike and thanks,� Jr and the other said. So Jr and the others then left.
