Chapter 67: Supper @ Red Lobster
Then they went to a seafood place that is called Red Lobster. They all got seated and they all got their drinks ordered. Then they started chatting.
�So what do you think about Jimmie and Jeff getting in trouble with the police?� Jr wondered.
�I think we got em in a trap this time bad,� Kevin answered. �But it not over till tomorrow. We gotta go out tomorrow and prove their in the wrong and I think it�ll be easy because Mike Helton, Brian France and Gary Nelson are gonna back us up.�
�Yep,� Jr agreed.
�Plus we weren�t the ones that started it,� Mikey added. �The whole reason was because you and Harvick got to be friends again after California and also DEI and RCR dominating the plates. Yet I gotta say if they count Jr and Harvick as getting back together a way to cause a fight I say I hate justice ok? I mean you can come back together and be friends without causing shit like this. Its just they got a little too angry.�
�Right,� Kevin agreed.
�Mikey you should be the one to stand up and explain how this got started,� Robby suggested. �You do a great job at explaining stuff.�
�Yes you should Mikey,� Kevin and Jr agreed.
�But if any questions come up about the relationship between you two you guys take those questions because you know the inside scoop on it,� Mikey pointed out.
�Ok,� Kevin and Jr said.
�Well shall we plan on how were gonna win this thing and if anyone else wants to stick something in feel free to.�
�Ok,� Jr said.
�Well the first thing we say should really start the discussion but we can play all we want yet we don�t know what kind of stuff Jimmie and Jeff will say nor the questions the judge may ask,� Ashley pointed out.
�That is right,� Jr agreed with her.
�Yet we can kind of think of what questions we may get asked as we sit here and think about what to say,� Mikey suggested.
�Ok,� Jr said.
�Ok Mikey you start it off since you had a wonderful beginning earlier,� Kevin said to Mikey.
�This whole argument started because of the fact that Jimmie and Jeff hated the fact that Kevin and Jr were still friends after a wreck at California Speedway which was a accident,� Mikey started. �Also they are mad at the fact that Dale Earnhardt Inc and Richard Childress Racing are dominating the restrictor plates. They say that they are cheating on the Restrictor Plate Races.�
�Right,� Kevin agreed.
�Ok so what if the judge asks what like happened in the wreck that they thought would be a good reason to break up?� Dalandra suggested a possible question.
�Jr or Kevin will explain it to the judge,� Mikey told Dalandra.
�Yes we would,� Jr agreed. �Do you want us to share it now?�
�Ok,� Dalandra said. �It would be fine with me if you guys share it with us.�
�Kevin want to share it or shall I?� Jr asked Kevin.
�You can start Jr,� Kevin answered.
�Ok then Kevin,� Jr said. �What happened was Kevin cut a tire down and was heading for the pits and he hit me by accident and we both hit the wall hard. I hurt my ankle; like it was sore but no broken bones and that and also suffered a concussion. Now they thought that I�d be mad at Kevin for wrecking me and hurting my ankle so they thought that since I was mad we�d split.�
�Yet we didn�t,� Kevin continued. �After he left the infield care centre, I went to the motor coach and I told him I was sorry and he accepted my apology and then we just made up.
�And they are totally good friends,� Mikey added.
�Right,� Jr agreed.
�Now that is convincing,� Dalandra commented.
�I totally agree with you there Dalandra,� Ashley agreed with her.
�Well what I have learned is that if you express your opinion about something the right way it�ll turn out to be a pretty good statement that people will respect,� Nicole shared with everyone.
�Right Nicole,� Ashley agreed with her.
Then the waiter brought their food so they ate as they talked about what else to say.
�Are we going to put in what happened to us today or not?� Amanda wondered.
�Yes we are,� Jr answered. �I mean we gotta put in them all and I mean especially put them in if someone got hurt.�
�Ok,� Amanda said. �I wasn�t sure about that.�
�Well its ok,� Mikey assured her. �Were all here for each other.�
�Ok Mikey,� Amanda said.
Nicole then looked over at Martin and said, �How are you feeling right now sweetie?�
�I�m just feeling a little bit sore but I am ok,� Martin answered.
�Ok just checking,� Nicole said.
�Ok,� Martin said.
They kept on eating while thinking on who would tell what tomorrow. And after they finished eating they went for a walk on the beach. Everyone was pretty quiet at the beach and then they went to their motor coaches.
�Everyone meet at my motor coach at like 7:30 so we can be at the court house at 7:50,� Jr told everyone.
�Ok,� everyone said. So they all went to their motor coaches and went to sleep.
