Chapter 23: Helping out one another
�Hey Robby,� his friend says. �Whatcha want buddy?�
�Hi,� Robby starts. �I am trying to get a good deal from you about that complex system.�
�Hey, I�d always give you a deal if you give me a great fair trade,� his friend says. �Listen, I get it for you for a nice low price and I mean cheap, if you let me chill with you at the track for the rest of Daytona Speedweeks, deal?�
�Deal,� Robby says.
�Be over in like um, 15 minutes and you better be waiting for me so NASCAR doesn�t well, kick my butt out,� His friend says.
�Ok,� Robby says. �I will be waiting for you.�
�Bye Robby,� his friend says.
�Bye,� Robby says. Robby put down the phone.
Jr then looked at Kevin and said, �Kevin, well we are waiting for Robby�s friend, why don�t you go to the infield care centre and see if there�s something serious wrong with your arm.�
�Ok,� replies Kevin. Then Kevin left Robby�s trailer to go to the infield care centre.
Jr runs out and says, �Hey bud, I mean, if you want anybody to come with you or something, let me know because I�m always here for to help you.�
�Ok,� Kevin says. �Thanks Jr!�
�Your welcome and do you want me to tell Dalandra what happened or no?� Jr asks.
�If you want to tell you can or I will let her know�its up to you Jr,� replies Kevin.
�I�ll go tell her since your going to get it checked out and I mean, I�ll let her know the whole story,� Jr suggests. �She is in your motor coach?�
�Ok,� Kevin agrees. �I think she is still in the motor coach.
�Alright,� Jr says.
Jr then ran to Harvick�s motor coach to see if Dalandra was there. When he got to Harvick�s motor coach�he knocked on the door and Dalandra said to come in.
Jr comes in and says, �Its me, Dale Jr. Um, I have something to tell you about Kevin and don�t worry, he�s ok.�
�What happened?� Dalandra asks.
�Well, me and Kevin were going to meet at the big pole this morning and we did,� Jr stats. �Johnson came over and was bothering us about well, California. Now, Johnson left and went and got Gordon to come also. So, I�ll skip some of the details and just tell you this. Jeff grabbed me and Johnson grabbed Kevin. Now, I got out so I called Mikey, Robby, Ty and Mikey. So Mike sent John Darvey and me, Mikey, Robby and Ty got Kevin out. After Kevin was let go�his arm was hurting so right now he is in the infield care centre having to check it out.�
�Oh my gosh�well, I don�t know what to say but thanks to you guys for helping Kevin,� Dalandra started. �Now, can I go see my honey?�
�You can see him,� replies Jr. �I think he might still be in the care centre or back at Robby�s trailer.�
�I�m checking the care centre first then Robby�s trailer,� Dalandra says. �Thanks Dale Jr for telling me.�
Dalandra then ran out the trailer door. Jr went back to Robby�s trailer and Robby�s friend would be there in 5 minutes.
�Well, you hanging with Kevin or what?� Mikey says as Jr walks in. �We were exspecting you back sooner. Gosh, if you didn�t come back right when you did. I would have been hunting for you.�
�I was telling Dalandra what happened while Kevin went to the care centre,� Jr explains.
�Nice,� Mikey says.
Robby�s friend then knocked on the trailer door.
�Come in,� Robby says.
�I talked to my boss and he said pay 30, you get it since you gave me the best deal,� his friend says.
�Ok,� Robby says as he gives his friend the $30. �I got you passes to sit with my crew during speed weeks.�
�Awesome,� his friend says. �Alright, here it is. So, there some emergency of getting this or what?
�Its just going to help my friends out,� Robby explains. Robby hands everyone theirs and says, �When Kevin gets back here or one of us sees him, he�s getting his because he is a target, just like you, Jr.�
�Ok,� Jr says. Jr cell phone starts ringing so he answers it and to his surprise, it was Kevin. �Hi Kevin. What is going on?�
�Alright, listen, Johnson is kind of hiding some where so well, um, can you please come with Mikey so at least we are all together incase of something?� Kevin replies.
�Ok,� Jr answers. �Where are you at?�
�Safest spot I could find, door way of the infield care centre,� replies Kevin.
�Ok,� Jr says. �Me and Mikey will be there in a few.�
�Ok,� Kevin says. �Watch out for Jimmie.�
�Ok I will,� Jr says. Jr hanged up and told Mikey what Kevin said.
�Ok,� Mikey says. �Lets go.�
So, they left Robby�s trailer to go to the infield care centre.
When they got there, Kevin says, �Dalandra went to chill with some of the other ladies.
�Hi Kevin,� Jr says. �What did they say about your arm?�
Mikey just waited for Kevin to say something since he was watching out for Jimmie. Mikey saw Jimmie and says, �Let�s stay here for a few minutes because Jimmie will see us.�
�Alright,� Jr says. �So Kevin, what did they say? I mean, I�m concerned since you are my best friend.�
�They said that it was bruised up bad,� Kevin explains.
�Damn,� Jr says. �But no muscles pulled, arm sprained and twisted or broken?�
�They didn�t say any of those things,� Kevin says.
�That�s good,� Jr says.
�Yep,� Kevin agrees.
Then Mikey says, �We can go since Jimmie is no where to be found.�
They kept walking back to the trailer. When they got back to Robby�s trailer, Robby gives Kevin his walkie talkie.
�Thanks Robby,� Kevin says. �Alright, update on me is Jimmie bruised it up pretty bad and the only thing to kill the pain right now, is ice.�
�Ok,� Robby says.
�Man, qualifying is in like 15minutes,� Jr comments.
�Ok,� Robby says. �We better get ready for qualifying. Lets go to the garage and see the cars and get in them!�
�Alrighty then, remember are little code thing,� Jr says.
�Ok,� Robby says.
