Chapter 22: The Meeting
So they head over to the meeting and then Jr spotted Kevin. They headed over to where Kevin was standing with his crew chief, Todd.
�Hi Kevin�how is your arm?� asks Jr.
�Its still sore,� replies Kevin. �I�m thinking about going to the infield care centre to get it looked at before practice.�
�Ok,� Jr says.
�I think that�s a good idea,� Mikey comments.
�Yep,� agrees Kevin.
�Jimmie or Jeff come near you since?� Jr asks.
�No,� replies Kevin.
�That�s good,� Mikey says. �They haven�t come near us. I�ve been thinking of a little protection plan for us all. So I�m going to whisper since I don�t want dumb and dumber to hear, ok?�
�Ok,� Kevin says.
�We get a walkie talkie system that connects each other to each other so if anyone gets attacked, just say something about it and where you are and we will come to where you are,� Mikey whispers.
�Ok,� Kevin says.
�Now, where�s high tech Robby?� Mikey asks. �He�ll probally have one or know where to get one.�
�I don�t really know,� replies Kevin.
Robby came over and asks, �Someone looking for me here?�
�I was Robby,� answers Mikey.
�I see Mikey,� Robby says. �Well, what do you want?�
�Do you know where we can get a walkie talkie system?� Mikey asks.
�A complex system or a simple two way one?� Robby wonders.
�The complex system one,� replies Mikey.
�Well, how about after we all go because I have a buddy who works at a store who will get us as good deal,� Robby suggests.
�Ok,� Mikey says. �Let me know.�
�Lets go between the meeting and the practice since practice is one hour after the meeting, ok?� Robby suggests.
�Ok,� Mikey accepts.
Everybody went over to where Mike Helton was standing with John Darvey and the meeting began.
�Welcome to the meeting,� Mike greets the crowd.
�We would like to fill you in with the stuff going on today and also, something important that happened this morning,� John explains.
�Today will be a busy day for us since we have practice and then qualifying,� Mike starts.
�And then we will have a mini practice for both Cup and Busch,� John continues.
�And now�we will like to tell you what happened this morning,� Mike says.
�Actually, we have two drivers who reported what happened and I think both shall explain the story,� John suggests.
�Ok,� Mike accepts.
Kevin and Jr come up and tell what happened.
�Alrighty then,� Jr starts. �This morning, me and Kevin decided to meet at the big pole by the motor coach lot that night before. So we did just that early this morning. Well, Johnson came running out and started asking me why I forgived Harvick after California. So then he left awhile and later came back with Jeff Gordon. Kevin, you continue please?�
�Ok,� Kevin accepts. �Then Jeff was asking Jr about why he fogived me and then he grabbed Jr and Jimmie grabbed me. Then Jeff let go of Jr and Jr ran off to call Mike and let him know about it and then Jr asked Robby, Ty and Mikey to help him get me away from Jimmie and they did just that. Status report on both of us is my arm hurts from Jimmie and Jr is perfectly ok.�
�Thanks for telling your story,� Mike says.
�Now, this is something that is not allowed according to the Nextel Cup rule book,� John says. �So, these two people shall be fined. Jimmie of course will get the bigger fine. I suggest that nobody here does anything like this because you will be in trouble like Jeff and Jimmie. Kevin and Jr, you may go back with the group you were standing with.�
Jr and Kevin went back where they were standing. Mike and John finished up the meeting and when they were done finishing it up, Mikey followed Robby back to his trailer. And then Kevin and Jr came also. When they went back to Robby�s trailer, Robby called his friend up.
