Consultation
Your first consultation is free and gives you the opportunity to discuss ideas and preferences for your wedding gown or special occasion outfit in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
I will guide you through the process of creating your outfit from the design to the finished article - an outfit exclusively created for you. I will also explain the choice of exquisite, luxury fabrics available to you as well as the styles that will suit you perfectly.
At the end of the consultation you will be presented with a sketch of your outfit.
Fitting
At the initial consultation detailed measurements are taken which will form the template for your unique made to measure gown.
These measurements are used to make a toile (a mock up of your outfit, usually made in calico) which allows you to see your outfit taking shape. This is the stage where the finer details of the design are worked out and adjustments are made to ensure a perfect fit.
Work will then begin on your actual gown/outfit and depending on the complexity of the design a further two or three fittings will be required. The final fitting involves making adjustments to the hem so remember to bring your shoes!
It is usual to allow between four and six months to create a bespoke wedding gown.
Price
The cost of an outfit will vary depending on your choice of style and fabric. These details will be discussed at your first consultation and you will be given a quotation for your unique outfit. As a guide, prices range from £700--£1500 for a bridal gown.
