CHAPTER 21
Dillan stepped out of the terminal and glanced around. 'Whoa! Deja vu,' she thought. Once again, she was in an unfamilar place with no one she knew. She approached a phone and searched for change to put in it. When she finally realized she had no French money, she noticed there was no space for change, only a slot for a card to be swept. "Freak," she yelled at the machine. A man tapped her on the shoulder and she whipped around. He held up a sign that said her last name. "Dillan?"

"Is that you," the man asked with an acent.

"Yes, sir."

"Follow me, madame."

The man took her to her baggage and then led her outside to a waiting car. He opened the door for her and waited. Dillan looked at the man and then inside the dark car. Her apprehension turned into happiness as she hopped into the car next to AJ.

"Dillan! Are you ready yet," AJ asked as he flipped through the channels on the tv.

She peaked her head out the bathroom, "No almost though."

A knock on the door stole AJ from his reading of the Bible in French. "Lookin sharp," Nick said as he entered the hotel room. AJ was wearing a black suit and a black hat. He had a red vest on under the jacket and a matching red strip was flowing down his pant seams. "Got the merch?"

"Right here and nervously waiting," he said as he patted his pocket shaking his walet chain that matched the outfit perfect.

"Its okay. She'll say yes, don't worry. Oh and here's the band's gift for her." Nick handed him a nicely wrapped gift. "We figured we shouldn't outspend you and we didn't know what she wanted, so we gave her something we knew she'd get a kick out of."

AJ looked at him confused.

"Its a copy of the video Howie was shooting on the last tour. I'm sure she'll love it."

"Okay, I'm ready now," Dillan said as she finally came out of the bathroom. Both Boys' mouths dropped to the ground. She was wearing a very long, tight-fitting, red silk dress, and her hair was down and with loose curls.

Nick snapped out of it and hit AJ on the arm and kissed Dillan on the cheek. "Careful girl. Don't give him a heart attack. We need him. Happy birthday, babe."

She thanked him as he left and turned back to AJ as she spun around. "How do I look?"

He grunted. "Baby, baby, baby. Can't we skip dinner and stay here?" He put his arms around her waist and pulled her close.

She giggled, "We could, but you paid for the reservations already, right?"

He thought for a second, "Alright. Lets go."
