| After dinner, the two took the elevator up to the top platform of the Eiffel Tower. "This is incredible," Dillan said as she leaned over the railing. "Do you want my jacket," AJ asked feeling her sudden chill which knocked her off the metal bars. "Thanks, sweetie." He put it around her shoulders and returned back to her side. She put her arm under his and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Thank you so much." "For what?" "For this! Flying me all the way out here just for my birthday. Just for me turning 19! Its not that big of a deal and you made it one. I never expected this kind of treatment." "You deserve the best. And I'll always give you that, princess." He leaned in to kiss her and she met his lips, which gave her a weak-in-the-knees feeling. Once they parted he licked his lips. "You remember when I told you I had to ask you something but I couldn't ask you on the phone? Well thats the main reason why I brought you here. I wanted you to have the most memorable birthday ever, and I don't see no other way to make it more memorable than to ask you this question now." He took a deep breath and put her shivering hands in his. "You're my heart, my soul. You're the air I breathe, the ground I walk on. You're everything that means anything to me. I don't think I'd be myself if I didn't have you." He paused to wipe a tear from his face as did Dillan to hers. He bent down on one knee, took his hat off and set it on the ground next to him, and looked back up at her glowing blue eyes. She gasped and let him finish, holding back her tears of joy. "I've spent the past 11 months loving you with all I had. I'll promise you a lifetime." He pulled the red box from his pocket and slipped the ring on her finger. Dillan let out a cry and the tears came falling from her eyes. "Will you promise me the same lifetime and marry me?" Without hesitation her smile filled her teary face and she nodded yes.
