| AJ shut the front door behind him. Dillan was asleep in his arms so he carried her through the house and up the stairs. He put her down in his bed and covered her with the blanket. He pushed her hair out of her face and kissed her softly on the cheek. "Don't leave me," she said as she felt AJ's body weight leave the bed. He sat back down next to her. "I'm just going to go down stairs so you can sleep. I won't leave you, princess." She grabbed his hand and he jumped a little at her cold touch. "Just lay here with me." He crawled under the covers and wrapped himself around her. ~*~*~*~ 'What the f---,' AJ thought as he was awoke by his phone ringing. He slid his arm from around the still sleeping Dillan and answered it in almost a whisper, "Hello?" "Hey, Bone! Where are you? Did you get lost or something?" "Nick," he said irritated. He slowly got out of bed and closed his bedroom door behind him. "Sorry, something came up," he said still being quiet. "Why are you whispering," Nick ased in AJ's same low tone. "Dillan's asleep." He began to walk down the stairs and ended up on the patio outside. "Remember when I told you she almost got kidnapped last year? Well he found her again." He lit his cigarette, and almost choked. He hadn't smoked in almost 2 months. "What? Are you shittin' me? Is she okay?" "Its true. She's alright. He just called her on her cell phone and pretened to be her brother when he called back." "Isn't her brother dead?" "Yea, but she didn't know he called back. I told her it was you." Nick sighed, "Have you called the police yet?" "No, I figure I better wait until she's up." "AJ!
