CHAPTER 12
"Hey Dillan, how's it going?"

"Very well. How are you, Howie?"

"I'm doing fine. I just called you because Nick is have a bar-b-q today and told me to call the guys. Is AJ there?"

"No doubt. Hold on." Dillan covered the phone with her hand and yelled. "AJ! Howie's on the phone!"

"Got it," he yelled back. "Hey man, wussup?"

"The Boys are having a b-b-q at Nick's. Wanna come?"

"Yea sure. Dillan I will be there a.s.a.p."

"Cool man. Later."

"Later, D."

AJ hung up the phone and ran down stairs to find Dillan washing one of his dogs in the kitchen sink. "Hey baby, wanna go see the guys?"

"Lemme guess, a bar-b-q," she said not looking at him.

"Howie told you?"

"Yea," she said as she smiled at him. "Yea, I'll go. Just let me finish washing her then I'll go and get ready."

A half hour later the two were on their way for an hour long drive to Nick's. About half way to their destination, Dillan's cell rang. "Caller blocked?" She picked it up, "hello?"

"I found you again, but this time you're on the other side of the country."

Dillan's face turned white and tears began to form in her dark blue eyes. "NOOOOOOOO," she screamed as she threw the phone out the window.

"Dill, what's wrong?" AJ took his right hand from the wheel and put it on her leg. She pushed it off and burried her face in her hands.

"This is a nightmare. It can't be happening," she chanted over and over again.

AJ pulled the truck to the side of the road. "Dillan, what's wrong? Tell me," he demanded. She caught her breath while he held her shaky hands.

"That was the same guy who tried to kidnap me last summer. He found me again, AJ!" She collapsed in his arms and cried until it gave her a headache. Inside he wanted to kill the man who was causing her so much pain, but instead promised her that she was never going to be taken away from him. AJ offered to go home and Dillan agreed. The phone! AJ got an idea before he turn his big truck around. He jumped out of the car began to search for the phone in the grass and the bushes. He gained luck when Dillan's 'As Long As You Love Me' ringtone was heard. "Hello," AJ answered out of breath.

"Can I speak to Dillan," a deep voice demanded.

"Yea, just a sec. By the way, who's calling?"

"Uh, its her brother."

"Oh...Alrighty," AJ said cautiously. Dillan didn't have any brothers. Her older brother was dead.
