Brandon got a WebTV in December 1998, a few days before Christmas.

I'd never had any experience with the Internet before and found myself fascinated with electronic greeting cards, browsing through the sites for hours.

I discovered newsgroups shortly after that and learned that WebTVers could use something called HTML to dress up their e-mails, choosing from virtually endless selections of music and images...stationery with sound! This was just too cool...I mean kewl!
My first attempt left a lot to be desired, rendering a glowing, bright red background with light blue letters.I was horrified and somewhat nauseated, certain that my son's e-mail page was ruined forever. The code deleted in a flash though, and I was "hooked" and determined to learn this strange, new language.
I'm still a newbie at this, but I try to learn and practice a little more each day.
I experience as much satisfaction from zeroing in on my HTML mistakes and making the necessary corrections as I do when things turn out "right" the first time.
In my search for things to use in my e-mails, I began to run across images and songs which provoked both long-forgotten and fairly recent pleasant memories, and the idea for these pages took root.
I am creating these pages for myself and my family. Whether you are a child of the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's...I'm sure you will have a stroll down memory lane somewhere along the way.
These memory pages, by their very nature of being graphics intensive, will be slow-loading.
You might consider refilling the coffee mug or taking a nature break between pages.
:-)
Let's move on to the next page and start having a little fun!
