                                  Coil Decorations
You will need:
A strip of strong paper for each coil decoration you want to make, 1-2 cm wide and at least 50 cm long.
Craft Glue
1) Hold one end of one strip between thumb and forefinger. Wind it loosely around your finger and place a drop of glue between the paper where it meets. Keep winding the strip of paper loosely around, making bigger circles each time and putting a drop of glue at each meeting between the thumb and finger. Try it the first time without the glue, to make sure it looks like the diagram 1 below. You should have at
least five loops. When you reach the end put a drop of glue on the end of the strip to hold it in place.
2) When you have finished making the coil, pinch the end with the glue on it tightly between your thumb and finger, and push the other side back against your thumb and finger with your other hand. When released you should have a bell shape coil. See diagram 2. Glue a ring of paper to the top and you will have a coil bell decoration. Repeat with the other strips. See what other shapes you can make with them

Quick & Easy Decorations
You will need: 30 cm thick craft pipe cleaners in red or green
60 cm of eyelet lace for each pipe cleaner, in red, green and gold. Red, green and gold thin ribbon. Craft Glue.
Take one pipe cleaner and 60 cm of lace in any colour, they don't have to match, and thread the pipe cleaner through the lace eyelets gathering as you go. When all the lace is on the pipe cleaner, twist the end of the pipe cleaner together to form a circle and make sure the lace is spread all the way around the pipe cleaner evenly. Now shape them into bells, boots or any other shape you can think of. If you take 2 triangles you can glue them together to form a star. When you've made a shape, glue 10 cm of ribbon in a loop to the top of the shape and your decoration is finished.

Styrofoam Ball Snowpeople Decorations
You will need: 3 different sized styrofoam balls, a strip of red material frayed at each end for the scarf (the size will depend on the final size of the snowperson, black beads for the eyes, red beads for the mouth, craft glue (make sure it says it can be used on styrofoam as some glues dissolve styrofoam), a long needle (longer than the head ball) and thick nylon thread, any other accessories you want to add (ie hat, apron, wool for hair)
Thread the needle and push it through the ball for the head from bottom centre to top centre then go back through the ball (not in the same spot). Tie the ends of the thread under the ball leaving a 6cm loop at the top (If you are putting a hat on it make the loop 8-10cm depending on the size of the hat). Tie a knot in the loop as close to the top of the ball as you can. Using chalk mark on the head ball the eyes and mouth then glue the beads in place. Next glue the balls together to form the snowperson and let dry for 24 hours.
Wrap the red material scarf around the neck. Glue on any accessories you want and paint on some arms as in diagram 6. Remember if you put a hat on the head to put a hole in the top of it for the loop to go through. Try making a snow man and snow woman.
