A short introduction of who this webmistress is:

God graced my life with 5 wonderful, beautiful kiddiewinks
          *all grown up now*.

As a single mother we struggled through a lot together which I believe helped us develop a special bond.

Click to view a very special birthday gift my daughter Nette made for me.

When my young people began presenting thier own treasures, my whole world took on another meaning.
They call me Mom so it stood to reason that all thier friends followed suit.
Eventually that whole gang began to grow to several dozen and is still growing with all thier little peoples.
One adoptee called just recently to ask if he could bring himself and his family home to stay for a month or so for a necessary visit.

My 13 Grands call me MomMom, 6 Great Grands call me GMomMom (sometimes sounds like GMeMom).

A few years ago, one of my adoptee daughters (friend of my son) gave me a music box for my birthday, it is of that little old lady...you know the one...the one in the high top pre-roaring 20's shoe, LOL think she was making a statement?

Sometime around 1998, I graduated from The HTML Writer Guilds online classes, began building original homepage with my daughter Juneann, plus as a favor, a few sites for others, some of which have since gone offline.
I also took courses in PSP, which I only play with, maybe someday I'll figure it out.
I am also an x-geocities leaders.

My personal haven has been slow to blossom due to unexpected events along the way but with God's grace, I am still here. Even though making a serious effort to quit smoking, on Oct. 21, 2001 I was admitted to the emergency room with total respiratory failure.
During the next few weeks I was kept in an induced coma with assisted breathing devices.
On Nov. 8, 2001, I woke up not knowing who I was or where I was.
I had lost 40 lbs. along with all my mobile independence. My right side was un-usable so it was necessary to learn to feed and dress myself.
I praise each and every person who assisted my rehabilitation.
While I was still in rehab my family could not have been more loving and attentive. They all chipped in to redo a room on the first floor of my home for me. They brought me scads of goodies and visited faithfully.
My brother drove the long drive from Ct. periodically to see how I was.
Now almost 2 years later, my 40 lbs lost is 60 lbs gained which I don't like but I have not lifted up one cigarette since Oct. 21, 2001 and even though I enjoyed smoking, I do like not having the mess and expense of cigarettes.
Even though I've gained weight and even though once in a blue moon I think I'd like to be able to just sit down and relax with a cigarette, I honestly really like the fact I do not smoke anylonger.
And If I can do it, trust me, so can anyone. !!!!
Please Quit Smoking. You'll Be SOOOOOO Glad You Did!!!

Disclaimer: A lot of graphics you might find here were collected from about 1998 and fortunately stored onto floppy disks. Unfortunately since my computer has changed several times since then. I have searched and not been able to track some of those urls down again. Those that I do know where they came from, I make sure credit is given. Apologies are extended for any inconvenience. Now, if you do know where they "originally" came from, please let me know.
