It's been a month since the transplant and I still feel weak and tired. I am told this is normal after a bone marrow transplant. I am managing to eat and drink although the nausea effect is still around. As the week went on I was managing to keep food down without any mishaps.
I still make regular trips to the hospital and will continue to do so for a while. The doctors are happy with my recovery progress so far.
On Wednesday I was started on Immunoglobulin which helps to boost my immune system. This will be given on a weekly basis for a while.
My white cell count is still low but has been stable for most of the week. Click here to see the graph.
By red blood cell and platelet counts were above the required minimum so I didn't need any transfusions. There had been a request to change the day of my weekly updates to Saturday so my next update will be on 3 June 2000.
