Her chemotherapy treatments have been stopped since the leukemia in her body has become resistant to treatment. Her white cell count has been on a rapid increase this week causing her to have endless fevers and pain. Her red blood cell count has been on the decrease so she received a blood transfusion. Her platelet count is low but stable.
Her fevers and pain are controlled with the help of Tylenol, Morphin and anti-biotics.
On Saturday Deepika was admitted to hospital. The leukemia has entered her Central Nervous System and has formed a mass on the left side of her brain, thus affecting the right side of her body. Movement on the right side of her body is now limited.
At this time I like to thank everyone who has taken interest in this website. I will keep this diary updated on behalf of Deepika.
