Profile

Training to be a web-designer with a wish to further myself in this field. Also adaptable, technically aware, able to repair equipment and fault find. With a background in Art and IT enabling me to be creative with designs. Focused on visual design but also interested in dynamic languages and would welcome the opportunity to learn such languages as PHP, ASP Etc.

Also for the past six years I have been fulfilling a technical support role in the local area of Pontycymmer. During that time I have gained good customer service skills and enjoy helping people solve their computer hardware/software problems and or requirements but also act as an advisor for equipment purchases and hardware/software set up.

Hobbies

When at home I enjoy learning the history of computers and the internet including different computer systems and lesser known internet networks, hardware and software configuration and use, level design for computer games (Unreal Tournament, TrackMania: Sunrise Etc.), Collecting and using old computers such as the Commodore 64 and Amiga Series, Playing computer games old and new but also competing in gaming tournaments.

Image Manipulation using Photoshop 7/CS/CS2 and other assorted programs, Web page authoring using CSS, XML, HTML, using DreamWeaver 8 but I have been known to use a plain text editor for such tasks. 3d Graphics using Bryce, operating systems such as Windows, Linux and OSX, Emulation of older computers and consoles.

Writing short stories for my own amusement, problem solving relating to general maintenance and decorating, DIY mainly falling under general maintenance, exploring Pontycymmer and discovering new areas, reading novels, watching films, cycling, music, cooking and meeting with my friends and family
