Day 7 - Friday, July 5, 2002: In the morning Kathleen takes me back to the bus station, where I board the bus for Dublin.  It's a really long ride this time - a lot of people go to Dublin for the weekends, and this weekend Neil Diamond is playing in Dublin, so the traffic is snarled the whole way!  It takes 5 hours to get there, but when I finally arrive, Colm is waiting for me and he takes me to my Bed and Breakfast.  Later on he comes back to get me and we go out to Fagan's Pub, where I have the most exciting experience...I meet Bertie Ahern, the Prime Minister of Ireland! Wild!
Hobnobbing and raising a pint with the man himself! (He was mighty impressed with my tri-color tattoo!  Or maybe he was just humoring the drunk Yankee...but who cares)! He's a really nice guy! And no, I don't know why my left eye looks all out of whack - it's just a crappy picture.
Day 8: Saturday, July 6, 2002: My last day in Ireland, I get up early, have a marvelous breakfast with my gracious hostess, Mrs.Timlin, and another guest,  and then spend the morning roaming around Dublin before heading to the airport.  These are just some cool pictures of Dublin; no real commentary to go with them.
So that's it!  I really had the time of my life, and 8 days was just not enough time to do everything I wanted to do or see all that I wanted to see.  So next time I'll sail down the River Shannon, visit the Guinness brewery, kiss the Blarney Stone, and I'll spend much more time there, too!  So until next time...
