TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION: Every KK-starship looks like a balloon stuck on the end of a plumber's helper. The "suction cup" of the "plumber's helper" is the generating fan for the drive field.
The 'handle' contains the power plants, the shield generators,the thrusters. the 'balloon' holds the rest (sensors,weapons,living quarters, cargo etc.).

 NOTE: Even if less common than Heavy Cruiser, the U.C. Light Cruiser, despite the lack of stingships, is a formidable ship that can engage the enemy at long range.
Designed primarily for frontier defense command, this  cruiser it's ideally suited as a trip-wire vessel, but it can perform also other type of  tasks , included diplomatic and scientific missions. Due to the relative peace between the Humanx Commonwealth and the Aann Empire the production of this type of  starship is low .
( Probably the peacekeeper starship Sodwana , appeared in "Mid-Flinx" , is a light cruiser ).

An AAnn light cruiser mounts 3 medium disruption beams, 1 paralysis beam, 6 heavy particle beams,  2 heavy laser cannons, 1 medium missile tube ( 10 missiles) and 2 light missile tubes ( 20 missiles). the Aann  marines are 40,  service specialists are 9 , the AAnn light cruiser is otherwise similar to the Church light cruiser .
