Selecting A Breeder

Here are some questions that you should be asking not only yourself but the breeder as while and if you do not get the right answers. Then maybe you need to keep looking. If something does not feel right it must likely is not.

.May you meet the pups mother and father.
.May you see the other pups.
.What is the temperament of the adult like?
.Does the breeder offer a written health guarantee and what does it cover?
.Are there any string attached, such as breeding rights?
6. The breeder should ask you some questions:
.Why do you want this particular breed?
.Are you buying the dog for the kids or yourself?
.If youre owning dogs before, what kind were they, and what happened to them?
.Does your particular lifestyle have room for a dog?
.Do you have a fenced in yard?
.Do you intend to breed?
.Will you spay or neuter the dog?
.Do you intend to show the dog?
.Will you sign a non-breeding agreement?
16. Do you understand that if you break a non-breeding contract you could end up in court?
.Do you understand that if you break a non-breeding contract you could end up paying out thousands of dollars to the breeder?
.Do you understand that you are making a commitment for the dogs whole life?
.Its not in anyones best interest to lie so the breeder will sell the pup to you.
.He/she may quite rightly refer you to another breed or type of pet more appropriate for you.
