| WELCOME The mission of the project it to help further the research options of it's members. Many times as most of us began our search for our ancestors we may have found little to go one. This project is set out to aid those serious researchers that need to move into differing area's to continue their work. Hopefully we can bring down some of those brick walls. Maybe you lost them off of a census and do not know where to go from there. Maybe you seek more information on those that you have or their collateral lines. Whatever your reasons for joining the project it is my goal to aid you in that effort. There is NO COST to becoming a member. Your personal information will not be shared outside the project. Members should submit their information in gedcom format at the email address given below. NO LIVING PERSON INFORMATION SHOULD BE SUBMITTED. The message must state that the file is attached and give me a basic area in which you are working. This information is for filing records and to aid the coordinator in merging the file only. This project and/or it's members must agree to never sell the compiled work. Nor will they post it as their own on any website, be it their own or one which stores gedcom files for public access. This does not mean that your original work could not have been published in one of the above mentioned format's. For assistance on creating a gedcom format please email the project coordinator. You may include other research for publication with expressed written consent from the submitter. All work submitted must be the work of the member. All sources should be cited and documented. Many times as we began our work we went on an assumption or family story If this is the case, please state such area's in your submission. If you are submitting material that is theory only please state such with your submission or prior to submitting. When updating your file with the project please notify the coordinator prior to the submission for instructions. Please remember to update your file with the project as often as needed. Members agree with following the standards as set out by the National Genealogical Society. I have also located a very interesting site that deals with copyright and genealogy. Please take some time to visit this site as it is very informative. All files will be merged to compile one file. It will then be returned to all participants as a merged file. Until I see how large the file will be I can not determine the format in which it will be returned. It will be in a format that is widely accepted by the majority of systems. The files will NOT be held or maintained on this site. Do not ask me to do look up's for you. That will not be possible. I can forward any specific request in regards to a family branch to another submitter who is working on that particular branch. Any participant found not to comply with the terms set out above will have their file returned to them and be asked not to submit another file until such is in compliance. If their file has already been incorporated with the group, the group will be notified to disregard the information. Most of you who know me know that I have long been associated with the Native American Indian research efforts. This project is NOT solely for that use. It will NOT be used nor forwarded to that research effort. This site is solely for research and assisting others in breaking down those brick walls. It is becoming apparent that there will be at least two files complied. I have been contacted by a gentleman from the Channel Isle's and he wished to participate. His information is different from most of those that have contacted me. His information traces back to Devon. The file will remain seperate from the other file until such time as a connection can be made of the USA Tapp family. I urge all who can to participate in this effort. Having been a part of a similar research group, let me tell you this kind of project helps to further your research effort When submitting your file please inform me of what branch that you have origination from. Are you new to Genealogy? Don't know how or where to start? Click here for a Begininng Genealogy page Best wishes and Thank You for your participation. |
