ecological integrity of DeBoville Slough and the surrounding area
through education, community involvement, research, land preservation
and partnerships based upon stewardship principles. Goals

compile and use research
and information to guide stewardship activities.
To provide educational opportunities and information on good stewardship and potential enhancement works to the general public, surrounding landowners and recreational users This would include subjects such as ecosystem values and natural and local history. 2007 Invasive Plant Removal Work Parties:

Saturday, Sept. 29th, 9:00 am to Noon: We
need your help! Come out and help the Friends of DeBoville Slough for
their second DeBoville Slough Japanese Knotweed control work party of
2007. Meet at DeBoville Slough, at Cedar Ave. & Victoria Drive
Coquitlam. Wesbild will be helping out with equipment, beverages and

We were unable to secure a bin and incinerator time for this weekend. As a result we will be unable to progress with the Work Party this time. If we are able to schedule another date before the plant goes dormant we will post it here. Or we may have to wait till next spring. So do check back for updates. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY 2007: Invasive Plant Removal at DeBoville Slough Join the Friends of DeBoville Slough, BMN and other community stewards for a morning of weed-whacking on the dykes.
