Obituary, Clarksville Star, 16 May 1889. Died: William BURKE died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sarah VAN GUNDY, which he has made his home for 12 years, on 11 May 1889. He was 89 years old 4 months and 17 days. He leaves six sons and three daughters to mourn his death and he was ready and willing to go.
Obituary, Clarksville Star, 28 Apr 1887: Died: April 26, 1886 of dropsy, Mrs. Eliza BURKE, age 75 years, 10 months and 20 days. The deceased has been a constant sufferer for five years. She leaves to mourn her loss an aged husband, six sons and three daughters. Her death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah VAN GRUNDY and she was buried in the Lowtown Cemetery. Although a very busy season her funeral was quite largely attended.

Synopsis:
Alice Burke was a twin to Allie B. BURKE.
Frank DALE was born on the "Old DALE Homestead, Section 27 Twp. 17, Range 20', 8 miles south of Ottawa, KS. He died in the General Hospital, Mena, AR.
Frank lived in Ottawa until about 15 years old, then went to CO with older brothers, sister and probably his mother. He worked as a ranch hand and miner in CO and lived for a time in Sacramento, CA. He became a barber there and came back to Ottawa where he married Alice.
Alice and Frank went to Cedar Falls, IA for a short time, then back to Ottawa. He sold insurance for a while and became a Methodist preacher about 1910. He was on a SE KS circuit and lived many places around SE KS.
In 1913, Frank and Alice made a covered wagon trip to Cabool, MO but went back to Ottawa the next year.
About 1917-1918, they moved to SW MO and lived several places there, and moved later to NW AR.
About 1925, they moved to Mena, AR, had a restaurant in a hotel and then went to a farm near Board Camp, 10 miles east of Mena.
