We often have heard, What Would Jesus Do? Before we jump off, Onto an adventure or two.
Well, before this saying, Became heard everywhere, I had my own words of wisdom, To give out and share.
To my children I would say, When they faced a choice. "When in doubt, chicken out", Hoping they would remember my voice.
A voice filled with love, Only with their best interests at heart. My wisdom on life's matters, That had been instilled from the start.
Sometimes they would listen, At least it would appear. I've evidence of this, As they grew every year.
Now that they are grown, And make their own way. I know that they will always know, Just the right thing to say.

A NEWBORN BABE
Could there ever be, A sweeter sight to behold. Than that of a newborn, So precious to hold.
The smell of that baby, The touch and the feel. The warm and chubby body, The miracle of God's will.
Oh, how I love the newborns, To just hold one is pure bliss. A feeling of pure, innocent love, Is something you don't want to miss.
That was my joy, Having my babies to love. Loving their actions, Thanking God from above.
There will never be anything, To compare with that thrill. Of cuddling that baby, I remember it still...

MY COMPUTER
I sometimes sit and wonder, About the days way back then. You know, before the 'puter, Took my life round the bend!
I never knew how to turn it on, I stared at it for days. I really couldn't fathom, Nothing about this craze!
I got so tired of asking, Everybody this and that. I figured it out for myself, Once I found my thinking hat!
I never missed my shows, I had to see each one. But since I found the internet, I just go to CBS.com!
My family thinks I've lost it, Out in cyber-space. This is where you'll find me, Working at a fast pace!
Just one more webpage, I promise, Then supper I will start. The sad and hungry looks I get, Almost break my heart.. Almost! {smile}

REFLECTIONS...
Valentine day is a good time to reflect, On all the loves I have now and had then. The people who have made my life perfect, Since the day I first began.
It all started with my wonderful parents, Their love never to end. Until the Lord took my Dad, And took away my best friend.
We were so alike, Yet different in our own way. He was always there for me, No matter come what may!
Then, I graduate and marry, To the man of my dreams. I bore two beautiful daughters, Life was perfect, so it seems.
After sixteen years of marriage, Of total wedded bliss. We parted our ways in anger, Was there something I missed?
Then Buck came along, Just when I thought I would be alone. I was blessed with two more girls, Now my family had grown.
I have four precious daughters, A terrific son-in-law, too! My cup surely runneth over, The Lord, I give thanks to.
I must mention my mother, The very core of who I've become. Such faith and strong convictions, Always urging, nagging some!
So, Lord, here at Valentine's Day, As I reflect back on yesterday, today. Thank you for the ones here with me now, But, especially for the ones who couldn't stay...
