of our Gadberry Family
of Casey, Pulaski, and Russell Counties, KY
According to the 1880 Casey Co., KY census the  household of Jonathan Gadberry indicates that  his father  was born  in Ireland and his mother  born in Prussia.  John and Christeney Gadberry appear to be his parents.

John Gadberry b abt 1760,  first appears on tax lists in Lincoln Co., KY 1804. He then appears on Pulaski Co. tax lists 1806, 1807, and 1808 owning land on Goose Creek (which now lies in Russell and Casey Counties).  It appears that John died bef 1811 in Casey Co..

In the 1830 Casey Co. census, Christeney Gadberry  is head of household  owning land in her own name. However in 1840 she is living in the home of her son, Jonathan Gadberry.

John and Christeney were the great grandparents of Armilda, she being my great grandmother. Armilda was the granddaughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Eller)  Gadberry and the daughter of Andrew Jackson Gadberry II and Martha Ann Tarter.
