| Generation 6 David [Aaron?] Ellsworth David Aaron? Ellsworth was born 1817 in Boin, IN, migrated from PA to Bloomfield, MO about 1840 and was killed in Civil War. His 1st marriage was to Lena Thornberry in Stoddard Co MO. His 2nd wife was Margaret Samantha Jane UNKNOWN, born Abt1839. David was reported to have died in a prison camp. There are two reports, one states he died in a confederate prison as a result of being a conscience objector of the war. The other states he died as a prisoner of war in a union prison camp. Both accounts state his clothes and belongings were shipped to his wife, lice infested. He was to have been drafted from a field near his home while chopping wood. The military came upon horseback and he was seen following them on foot, not even being allowed to return home to tell his wife and family good bye. He is buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Confederate Section,Grave 9987.
