| Generation 1 Arthur "Emigrant" Aylworth Atrhur Aylworth, born ca. 1653 in England, died between Nov 11, 1725 and Sep 13, 1726. The parentage of Arthur Aylworth is yet unknown to his American descendants. Arthur Aylworth came to America previous to July 29, 1679, possibly previous to King Philip's War. He settled permantly in Quidnesset,Neck North King's Town, Washington Co.,RI, where he was appointed an inspector Feb 6, 1699; elected a Ratesmaker in May 1699; and a Viewer of Fenches and Supervisor of Highways on Jun 5, 1699. Married (possibly 2nd) ca. 1681/2 North Kingtown, RI Mary Brown, the daughter of Rev. John Brown and Mary Holmes. Green Martha married John Davis Generation 2 Arthur Aylsworth/Ellsworth Arthur Aylsworth was born 1685 in North Kingstown, RI and died July 5,1761 in West Greenwich, RI. He married Mary Franklin, said to be the Aunt of the statesman Benjamin Franklin. He was a carpenter, farmer and an Inn keeper and settled in west Greenwich, RI. He married Martha Franklin, March 8, 1740/41 in West Greenwich, RI daughter of James and ? Franklin. David was a cooper. His family consisted of two sons, Rufus, who died young, David and some daughters. He went to sea several times but did not become a regular sailor. His name is found in the toen records, as early as 1742 and he was a surveyor of highways in 1757 and constable in 1761.Their children: *David Ellsworth Phebe Ellsworth Damavis Ellsworth she married ? Strait Rufus Ellsworth Generation 4 David Ellsworth David Ellsworth was born about 1750 and moved to Carbondale, PA in 1803 and died in Luzerine County , PA. He married Ruth Parker, March 19,1774, daughter of George Parker and Ruth Cole. His wife died in 1817. Their children were *Aaron Ellsworth George Ellsworth Generation 5 Aaron Ellsworth (also found it spelled Ailsworth) Aaron Ellsworth was born June 1, 1781 and died about 1854 in Bloomfield, Stoddard County, MO. His 1st marriage was to Susan Locke, 1814. His 2nd was to Elizabeth Parker in 1816. Leaving the vicinity of Carbondale, PA, about 1816, in the company of his brother George and brother-in-law, Silas Parker, proceeded with their families to Wheeling PA where they purchased a boat and proceeded down the Ohio Rivewr to the mouth of the green River, where they landed on the Indiania side, just above where Evansville now stands. From this location he moved to Warric County, IN and then to vacinity of Bloomfield, MO where he died about 1854. His first wife Susan Locke probably died in IN. Where he married Elizabeth Parker. Aaron was a farmer and a miller Aaron and Susan Locke Children: * David Aaron, born in 1817 in Boin IN, migrated from PA to Bloomfield MO about 1840 and was killed in Civil War.
