David ~
David is currently enjoying a more relaxing pace on our spacious property.
Summer was filled with mowing the lawn with a tractor and walking along our
ponds edge. His transfer to Kentucky went smoothly and he is adjusting well to
working in another office. He says he certainly does not miss the traffic we had
to fight in California nor the brown air we could almost see as we took a
breath.
Deborah ~
I have finally completed school at Kaplan University and am enjoying running my
own business. I love my
new home and the laid back lifestyle of my country home. I enjoy scrapbooking
and am the web designer for an online literary journal, "The
Serendipity Gallery of Arts and Literature".
Micah ~
This is Micah during a visit with us over Christmas. He is still stuck in
California, but I think Kentucky is stuck in his heart. He loved all the
fishing, driving the tractor and talks of hunting. He is working full time and
thinking about going into law enforcement.
Jeremiah ~
Jeremiah is the only one of us who really misses California, although I think if
he gave it half a chance, he would discover he likes it here too. He does like
his compound bow and the fact that he can make as much noise as he wants and we
don't have any neighbors close enough to hear or complain. I think the best part
is that fact that he does not feel he needs a Kevlar vest here as he feels about
California.
Lil' Miss DaisyMae ~
Her royal highness, DaisyMae, our 4-year-old. This is the queen of the house.
DaisyMae enjoys spending her days being waited on by her loyal subjects, long
lazy walks along our pond and smelling all the tracks the deer have left in the
yard over night.
Sgt. Copper Penny ~
Our little warrior Copper, our 3-year-old. That rascally crane will not sit on
his pond for long...he will show that bird who is boss! Copper loves to sleep
and his second love is barking. He loves all the smells in the yard and all the
critters he can bark at and chase.
Sophia ~
The new little princess, Sophia, also our 3-year-old. If it were not for the
fact that DaisyMae insists on being the queen, Sophia would love the title, but
she has relinquished the title and decided its good to be a dog. Sophia loves to
play with the dogs and finds great joy in making them howl. The ensuing three
part DIS-harmony is deafening.
