jackie-isms
my class is still trying to learn to be quiet and sit still. maybe someday i'll teach some science. just kidding. i had the car checked out yesterday and it seems to be ok. i'm glad i don't have to deal with insurance companies or hispanics without green cards.

it's a good thing you e-mailed me. now i'll probably pay your second semester tuition. tonight is openhouse at green valley. i wonder how many of my parents will show up. should be interesting.

very few of my parents came to open house. their educational interest is just like their kids. or vice versa.

how much water are you drinking? how much juice are you drinking? how much sleep are you getting? how much vitamin c do you get each day? are you taking the vitamins i bought you?

how is your cold? i have one now.
you gave it to me over the internet.

kaitlin and i keep forgetting to take rental movies back on time. we have paid a lot of fees. dumb!

my class is taking a field trip to marengo cave in the spring. i'm thinking about leaving my class there.

one of my kids used a three hole punch to punch holes in a penny and a dime today. isn't he cool? another one of my boys had on black fingernail polish today, and chains. he's really cool. i can't wait to go back to school on monday.

i told them i'm writing a book about why kids goof off in school, and every time they do something dumb i write it down in a notebook and ask them why they did it. a few kids are worried about being in the book and have calmed down a little bit. ha.

well, I'm off to bed so i'll have enough energy to deal with my juvenile delinquents. i had to trick my autistic kid today to get him to come in from the playground. i let him use the school keys to unlock the door. he thought that was cool. at least the principal didn't have to carry him in like i heard happened last year. what next?????

don't push the issue with tyke's car - she doesn't want him to have it up there yet.

i get to go to a lewis and clark anniversary celebration in louisville with my class next month. i'm thinking about being sick that day. i can't imagine my class away from the school. maybe they will all get arrested for disturbing the peace, and i won't see them for a while.

two of my boys were caught wrestling in the bathroom today, and another swore outloud in vicki neely's music class. not a great day.

the kids have been really wound up all week. they got in trouble in music today for breaking crayons and throwing them. sound like 6th graders to you? they're so messed up.

but we do have a field trip on friday, and that scares me to death. i don't want to take my class out of the school. it will be a disaster. when you see me on friday night or saturday i may not have recovered from the experience.

i also have to survive my class's halloween party on fri. sounds like a good day to go out of town.

alyssa had to go home at 4am because her eye was hurting so bad. her mom took her to the emergency room and she had a seed stuck in her eye. she got it during the haunted walk. what a mess.

i still don't know what i'm doing about my delima this weekend. should i take kaitlin out of school friday or have her spend thurs. and fri. nights somewhere and than ride up to muncie with snyders? i just don't know. how do you spell delima? not like that! it must have an "h" or something.

my foster kid was moved to a new family out of our district, so i don't have him disrupting my class anymore.

now my autistic kid is acting up. and of course my devious kids are still devious.

what is your address? i finally have your phone number written down in a safe spot, but i lost your address. please advise.

what does it mean if the computer growls every once in a while? i'm not kidding.

where is the digital camera?  did you take it with you? don't forget to take your damp sweater out of the suitcase. talk to you soon!  love,  mom

(in an email about sam studying in australia) 'ello mate.  When are you 'eaded to the land down under?......love you, mate.    mum

(abrupt and quick reference to sam's cold) congrats on the good test grade. why don't you loan your younger sister some of those smarts? how is your cold?

unfortunately i think i have to go to 6th grade camp. maybe i can lose my class in the woods.

(in reference to a pink, stuffed duck kaitlin [sam's little sister] gave him for easter. he forgot it at home.)
sorry about your candy and target certificate. we'll mail you the duck.
