No Parking had a wholesale Christmas shopping at Quiapo weeks ago. Norman and I bought two Les Paul model electric guitars (mine's maroon while Norms had orange). Love purchased his Korg AX5B bass effects. We also ordered a Samsom C01u USB Condenser Microphone.
I also bought a new active-pick-up blue acoustic guitar because Gallaghirl, my first guitar, is already seven years old and is taking a toll on my fingers. Jeffrey borrowed Gallaghirl over the vacation. I still have no name for my new one.

The 2nd anniversary No Parking Shindig pushed through last December 20. Thanks for everyone who came. It's a very different animal compared to last year. It's very symbolic of the growth we have achieved and need to take. Shoutouts to Ys and Leki (much love for the home), my sister and her beautiful friend Lourdes, my cousin Chai and friends, Paolo Papa, Cris, Klara and Anjo (of Silent Sanctuary) and all of my blockmates especially Belot, Michi and Diane.

Since I'm on my off-day, I updated the LISTEN section of our website. I left five songs in the vault. You'll find two acoustic demos (Ninth Nimbus and Pre-School Neighbor) and the three bootleg tracks from our Greenbelt gig last November (Sandwich's Butterfly Carnival, D.o.t.A., and MRT). I also left the hyperlinks for the YouTube videos to round it up.

Love just confirmed to us that we will be doing an acoustic set for UP Triple E's Christmas celebrations ten days from now. It's a Tuesday and we'll be glad to visit Love's territory.

Norman, thanks to a timely inspiration, has perfected the lead guitar tracks for the first single of No Parking. All he needed was two takes. That's amazing for a spaceman really. Work left would be my vocal tracks, the mastering of the entire track and the embellishments (i.e. second voices and rainmaker). Due to insistent demand from the parents of the talents I hooked up with, I am testing the fortitude (!) of my digital camera if it can manage the lighting conditions at the planned location for the MRT MTV. Casting the talents would ensue.

One year older, No Parking is trying to maintain its spoiled beginings by keeping up with the Shindig tradition. No Parking had its second year as a from-the-ground-up project last November 25. Although a bit late this coming December 20, we are celebrating all the progress we have made and shared in a year.
Plans and preparations are now brewing and I've prepared a 12-song setlist for all the band's VIPs. Since the den of our big boss is open for but a select few, we will see to it that we have you covered... YouTube-wise.
Also as a sidenote, No Parking has extended their management staff:
Bambam: head photographer, video director
Norman: resident spaceman
Love: audio engineer
Jeffrey: morality coach
Lekileks: landlady-in-training
Bah: publicity and damage dispenser
Robert: videographer

I finished the rhythm guitars on schedule last week. And since we have lives beyond the band, we will only be able to resume operations later, with Norman's lead guitars. The band will also be practicing their set for a gig this Friday at Christ Life again. I'm thinking a 5-song set. Don't worry, we'll do our best to make it available via web.

Finally, NP was able to stake their claim in the YouTube
territory. I've been waiting forever to try to put up a video with our name
since there are a host of band with the same name as ours. But as I told my
bandmates two years ago, it's a race for first place. Winners keepers.
Anyway, here are footages of our prized Greenbelt gig yesterday:

So the band is trying to crank things up another notch. For the past week, the band was able to record, c/o
Miggy and Lekileks, the tracks for Jeff's drums and Love's bass. The
wonders of Garage Band and Macbook.
Next one in line is me with the harmonic guitars. Wish us luck.

NP had a tagteam gig with Freestyle this past Friday for the
SEAIR Digital Photography event held at the (just-bombed) Glorietta-Greenbelt
area. The band, me especially, was very ecstatic to play in Ayala because as of
yesterday, it was still an uncharted region.
Also, this is my
dream come true. Freestyle had a gig at my elementary school when I was in Grade
6. I haven't had the chance to take Jinky's picture. Yesterday I did!

Norman's victory was the icing on the cake of No Parking's 2nd runner-up finish in the
God Faith Rock n Roll Battle of the Bands held a while ago at Kalayaan, Commonwealth, QC.

NP will guest this Wednesday, September 19, at Jeffrey's event: an Acquaintance Party of PUP's Computer Engineering department. We will start at 7pm. Norman won't be around (he has resigned––no, he has work), so I will super proxy again. We really need sessionists. Belot?

Come what may, expect No Parking to fill the last three slots of Love's 21 roses. (Did you greet him last Wednesday? Leave some love at the CONTACT section). He'll be celebrating, gown and all, his debut tomorrow Saturday, September 8.
And how to celebrate it best than with some music from your friendly, neighborhood-disturbing band.

Our concert @ FEATI university with 6 Cycle Mind a while ago had been a blast. They performed first by 5pm! So NP was like the backdoor act afterwards, along with three other local college bands.
The concert was a fundraising event by QTV 11's At Your Service for the Damas de Pilipinas orphanage. The kids were there. So cute! They all wore yellow and performed an "Itaktak Mo" dance number. I gave each of the children a high five afterwards; it made everything in our explosive performace (yes, the energy of the MMDA man from Globe leaked) so worth it.
So there catch the show. It's our first TV appearance as a band. Love wasn't around though because of an exam. I took over the bass duties.
