Writing about oneself has never been a difficult task. But accommodating that writing in a small web page has been one, atleast for the past 5 minutes that I have spent thinking what to put here, or rather, what not to put here :). People have written head-eater autobiographies, but don't worry, I don't have any intention of doing that, so instead of eating your head, lemme start ...
    My name is Shadkam Islam. "shadkam" is a persian word whose literal meaning is "ever smiling", but it is used for successful, prosperous etc. 
    My age .... oh h h h ... Unlike name, age is not a simple one line affair, it keeps changing every moment ... :), so it can not be hard-coded here. Fine, I 'll tell you my DOB, that is 19/05/1977. If you want to calculate age (yours, mine or anybody else's), click here :). 
    I was born & brought up in Allahabad, in northern India. I spent 17 years of my life there. Then I moved to Roorkee, to study engineering. I was there for 4 years, the stay at Roorkee was superb and atleast 2 of those 4 years can be rated same as the best years of my life. Being able to study in Roorkee was a dream come true, a dream, which I had not imagined will take shape of a reality. Even after seeing my roll number in the newspaper, I could not believe it was there. Want to know how my friends reacted when I told them about this. That moment, when I saw myself selected in Roorkee, was the happiest moment of my life :). I mean the impulse of happyness was at its peak at that time.
    At the on-campus interview in University of Roorkee I was selected to work for Wipro Technologies. So, since september 1998 I am in Bangalore, working for Wipro, or rather, employed in Wipro. (Software engineers rarely work, as rarely as Indian team wins abroad :)).
    My Dad is a revolutionary by heart, poet by work, and govt. employee by profession. I have yet to find a person as intelligent as he is. Also, I 'll say he is a right man in a wrong world, an ideal man in a non ideal world. He would not compromise with his ideals, never. He admits that he faces problems because of this attitude, but he is happy with it. He becomes sad when he sees somebody doing something wrong, and I feel that is wrong. Getting angry furiously, because some junk guy has broken open the govt. water supply pipe for his use, and the water is getting wasted continuously, will not serve any purpose except affecting one's health, he knows it but even then he will become angry.
    My Mom is a housewife, and a very-2 courageous lady. She is very strong emotionally and her behavior is very fatherly in case we are facing some problem. She is also an ideal woman only, but, unlike my Dad she is practical also.
