The following are prayers, thoughts, wishes, and writings made to the Lord for a Beloved Mate: The man whom God created me for and vice versa. I hope they will enrich your life.
Keep on praying; keep your eyes, ears and most importantly your heart open until this person arrives in your life.
While waiting for God's perfect timing, allow yourself the pleasure of getting to know yourself and others. Experience and enrich your life spiritually, and physically.
Prepare yourself for this person. Take classes, work hard, socialize, enjoy the moment, enjoy life, enjoy yourself and others, pray and seek God's will.
Most importantly do not give up, because I know IF the Lord has placed such a strong desire in your heart for a mate then the Lord will grant you one in His time.

Lord God, your Word declares that if I delight myself in You--if I enjoy and seek Your pleasure above mine--You will give me the desires of my heart (Psalm 37:4). Desiring a husband is neither evil nor selfish because marriage is honorable (Hebrews 13:4). At the beginning of creation, You proclaimed, "It is not good that man should be alone" and then You created Eve to be a suitable partner for Adam (Genesis 2:18). In the name of Jesus, I ask that You would protect the husband--a suitable partner--You have chosen for me.
May the words of my mouth, the thoughts of my heart, the prayers of my soul be pleasing before You, God. I ask for a man of God, because the covenant of marriage is sacred (Mark 10:9). Please, give me a husband whose love for me is only surpassed by his love for You. Give me a man who will cherish me and build me up (Proverbs 31:28). Give me a man who will honor me (I Peter 3:7) and our marriage vows. Give me a man who will be a good father and provider. Please, God, look into my heart and soul and give me a man who is good-natured, kind, friendly, thoughtful and giving. Give me a man who is modest with a humble spirit. Give me a man who is hardworking, decent, honest, and moral. Give me a man who is mature, independent, reliable, and trustworthy. Give me a man who is fair, tolerant, open-minded, respectful and compassionate. Give me a man who is expressive in his affection and devotion. Give me a man who is caring, warm, gentle but firm, open and intimate. Give me a man who is learned and a good communicator. Give me a man who knows how to laugh and laughs often. Give me a man who knows himself and what he wants. Give me a man who is stable and consistent in his behavior, thoughts, and actions. Give me a man who will be loyal and devoted, steadfast and constant, sincere and noble, courageous and brave. Give me a man whom I will be attracted to physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Give me a man that is healthy, strong and solid in mind, body, heart, and soul. Give me a man who will keep me safe and protected. Give me a man who will love me as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25).
God, Keep me from attaching myself to another man out of desperation. I will not settle for a relationship that is second best, convenient, or one that feeds my insecurities. Guard my heart, honor and integrity, and give me the patience to wait for the time You deem is right. Do not let anyone's cruelty, hateful intentions, or deeds get in the way of my intended husband.
I have been hurt many times in the past, and I still do not quite understand why. I thought that in every relationship that there was something wrong with me, and that is why they failed. However, you made me realize that I am your child and made in your image, and that in every relationship up to this point has been unequal and not right for me. When I meet my suitable partner, confirm to me that he is the one. Release from me the baggage of past relationships, and prepare me for the man You have chosen to be my husband. Free me from any hindrances to a healthy and godly marriage: insecurities, habitual sins, selfishness, and emotional hurts. Dispel my unrealistic expectations that set me up for disappointment. I place my trust in You, Lord.
In this period of waiting, I will look to You alone to be my companion and best friend. You are the one who redeems my life from the pit, who crowns me with love and compassion, who satisfies my desires with good things (Psalm 103:4-5). I will not be anxious, but as I present my requests to You, flood me with the peace that surpasses all understanding so my heart and my mind are guarded in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6, 7). In this request, I commit myself to trust You and do well, to dwell in the land and feed on Your faithfulness. I commit my way to You and trust that You will bring it to pass (Psalm 37:35).

A Prayer for a Future Husband
O Jesus, lover of the young, the dearest Friend I have, in all confidence I open my heart to You to beg Your light and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Give me the light of Your grace, that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through life. Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your Divine wisdom You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage. May his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart. May he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth.
O Mary Immaculate, sweet Mother of the young, to your special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to my future husband. You are my guiding Star! Direct me to the person with whom I can best cooperate in doing God's Holy Will, with whom I can live in peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joys in the next.

Prayer for the Wise Choice of a Marriage Partner
Glorious Saint Raphael, Patron and lover of the young, I feel the need of calling to you and of pleading for your help. In all confidence, I open my heart to you to beg your guidance and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Obtain for me through your intercession the light of God's grace so that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through life. Angel of Happy Meetings, lead us by the hand to find each other. May all our movements be guided by your light and transfigured by your joy. As you led the young Tobias to Sara and opened up a new life of happiness with her to holy marriage, lead me to such a one whom in your angelic wisdom you judge best suited to be united with me in marriage.
St. Raphael, loving patron of those seeking a marriage partner, help me in this supreme decision of my life. Find for me as a helpmate in life the person whose character may reflect some of the traits of Jesus and Mary. May he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with chaste and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please God to entrust to our care.
St. Raphael, angel of chaste courtship, bless our friendship and our love that sin may have no part in it. Single Female Trusting God for a Mate
Father, in the name of Jesus, I believe that You are providing Your very best for me and that the man who will be united with me in marriage has awakened to righteousness. Father, as You have rejoiced over Jerusalem, so shall the bridegroom rejoice over me. Thank You, Father, that he will love me as Christ loves the Church. He will nourish, carefully protect and cherish me.
Father, I believe, because he is Your best, that doubts, wavering and insincerity are not a part of him; but he speaks forth the oracles of God, acknowledging Your full counsel with all wisdom and knowledge. He does not speak or act contrary to the Word. He walks totally in love, esteeming and preferring others higher than himself.
Father, I believe that everything not of You shall be removed from my life. And I thank You for the perfecting of Your Word in my life that I may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Father, I praise You for the performance of Your Word in my behalf.

Finding a Mate
Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your will to be done in my life as I look to You for a marriage partner. I submit to the constant ministry of transformation by the Holy Spirit, making my petition known to You.
Prepare me for marriage by bringing everything to light that has been hidden--wounded emotions, walls of denial, emotional isolation, physical isolation, social isolation, silence or excessive talking, rigidity or too much flexibility, anger, rage, bitterness, hatred, depression, self-pity, envy, coveting, excessive dreaming and yearning, and feelings of desperation. The weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty through You, Lord, to the pulling down of strongholds
I know the One in Whom I have placed my confidence, and I am perfectly certain that the work, whether I remain unmarried or marry, is safe in Your hands until that day.
Because I love You, Lord, and because I am called according to Your plan, everything that happens to me fits into a pattern for good. In Your foreknowledge, You chose me to bear the family likeness of Your Son. You chose me long ago; when the time came You called me, You made me righteous in Your sight, and then You lifted me to the splendor of life as Your child.
I lay aside every weight, and the sins which so easily ensnare me, and run with endurance the race that is set before me, looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. I consider Him Who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest I become weary and discouraged in my soul. He makes intercession for me.
I turn my back on the turbulent desires of youth and give my positive attention to goodness, integrity, love, and peace in company with all those who approach You, Lord, in sincerity. I have nothing to do with silly and ill-informed controversies, which lead inevitably to strife. As Your servant, I am not a person of strife. I seek to be kind to all, ready and able to teach. I seek to be tolerant and have the ability to gently correct those who oppose Your message.
Father, I desire and earnestly seek--aim at and strive after--first of all Your Kingdom and Your righteousness--Your way of doing and being right--and then all these things taken together will be given me besides. So I do not worry and will not be anxious about tomorrow.
I am persuaded that I can trust You because You first loved me. You chose me in Christ before the foundation of the world. In Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form--giving complete expression of the divine nature; and I am in Him, made full and have come to the fullness of life in Christ.
I am filled with the Godhead--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--and I reach toward full spiritual stature. And He (Christ) is the Head of all rule and authority--of every angelic principality and power. So, because of Jesus, I am complete; Jesus is my Lord.
I come before You, Father, expressing my desire for a suitable mate. I petition that Your will be done in my life. Now I enter into that blessed rest by adhering to, trusting in, and relying on You.

Preparing Self for Marriage
Father, sometimes being single can be so lonely, so painful. Seeing people in pairs, laughing and having fun, makes me feel even more alone and different.
Lord, please comfort me in these times. Help me to deal with my feelings and thoughts in an appropriate way. Help me to remember to work hard on myself, so that I will be whole and mature when You bring the right person into my life.
Help me to remember that this is a time of preparation for the day when I will be joined to another human being for life. Show me how to be responsible for myself and how to allow others to be responsible for themselves.
Teach me about boundaries--what they are and how to establish them, instead of walls. Teach me about love, Your love, and how to speak the truth in love, as Jesus did.
Father, I do not want to be a hindrance to my future spouse, to You, or to myself. Help me to take a good look at myself, at my self-image. Lead me to people--teachers, preachers, counselors--and to things--books, tapes, seminars--anyone and anything You can use to teach me Your ways of being and doing right and being whole.
Teach me how to choose the mate You would have for me. Give me the wisdom I need to see clearly and not to be double-minded. Help me to recognize the qualities You would have me look for in a mate.
Father, thank You for revealing to me that the choice of a mate is not to be based only on emotions and feelings, but that You have very definite guidelines in the Bible for me to use. I know that when I put these principles into practice, I will save myself a lot of pain and trouble.
Thank You that You are not trying to make things hard for me, but that You know me better than I know myself. You know my situation--You know the beginning from the end. You know the qualities and attributes that are needed in another person that will make me happy in our shared life together and will make that person happy with me.
I pray that You will keep my foot from being caught in a hidden trap of danger. I cast the care of this decision on You, knowing that You will cause my thoughts to come in line with Your will so that my plans will be established and succeed.

When Desiring To Marry
Father, here I am at Your throne asking You for mercy and grace to help me in this struggle of being single. Your grace is sufficient to displace this feeling of desperation. By faith I pray that Your name will be hallowed in my life and that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth even as it is in heaven.
By faith, I decree that whether I marry or remain single, I will not live carelessly, unthinkingly. I will make sure I understand what You, my Master, wants. All my ways seem innocent to me, but I ask You to weigh my motives. If it is Your will, I will be married. But whether I marry or do not marry, I will let the peace of Christ rule in my heart and be thankful.
According to Your Word, she who finds a husband finds what is good and receives favor from You. A husband of noble character is his wife�s crown, but a disgraceful husband is like decay in her bones.
Lord, I am not looking for anyone to rescue me from being single, because I am complete in You. I trust You to bring the right person into my life so that we may bring out the best in each other and encourage each other to be all that You created each of us to be.
I delight myself in You, and You will give me the desires of my heart. I commit my way to You and will be still before You, waiting patiently for You to make Your will known to me. I resist the temptation to become angry; fretting and worry shall be far from me, because my hope is in You, Lord.
May You, Father, the God of peace, equip me with everything good for doing Your will, and may You work in me what is pleasing to You, through Jesus Christ, to Whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

For Your Future Spouse
Father, I seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, and all things shall be mine as well. I know that You love me and that I can trust Your Word as expressed in Your Son, Jesus Christ: For in Him the whole fullness of Deity--the Godhead--continues to dwell in bodily form and giving complete expression of the divine nature. Moreover, I am in Him, made full and have come to the fullness of life. In Christ, I too, am filled with the Godhead--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--and reach full spiritual stature. Christ is the Head of all rule and authority of every angelic principality and power. Because of Jesus, I am complete; He is my Lord.
I come before You, Father, desiring a suitable mate. I petition that Your will be done in my life, and I enter into Your blessed rest by adhering to, trusting in, and relying on You.
Father, You desire that I live a life free from care, that I should be content and satisfied in every situation that I am in, and that I should not be anxious or worried about anything. You have said that if I am willing and obedient to Your Word, You will give me the desires of my heart. It is my desire that someday I will be married to the person You have chosen for me.
I pray for him. Father, especially help him to grow in love, Your kind of love. A friend loves at all times, and I desire for my spouse to be my very best friend. I desire that my spouse be a person who shares the same love that I have for You, someone who will be one in spirit and purpose with me.
I ask You to send mature men and women into our lives to give us good, godly counsel and to teach us how we should love each other and care for our family. Teach us both what You expect husbands and wives to do and how we ought to behave toward each other. Reveal to our hearts Your Word concerning the marriage relationship and correct any wrong thinking in our lives. Grant us knowledge through godly people, books, tapes, and preaching that will give us understanding concerning relationships, so that we can avoid damaging the relationship You desire for us.
Father, I trust You to lead me and guide me by Your Holy Spirit so that when Your perfect time is right, I will have the wisdom, discretion, and discernment to know that my choice and Yours are the same for my life-mate. I am secure with the mind and the spirit that You have given me to make this decision.
I pray that the eyes of my future spouse�s understanding will be opened so that he will have complete knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. I pray that he will live a life that is worthy of You, Lord, and pleasing to You in every way. Thank You that he will always be involved in doing good deeds, and have a strong, growing relationship with You. I pray that our commitment to each other will continually grow as we draw closer to You.
