Original Fiction

Dark Alleys
This is a piece of original work that hit on the way home from Dublin one day and just screamed at me to be written. I don't know where it came from or the inspiration behind it. It is dark and gritty and is paced oddly, almost staccatoed in rhythm.

Dominion's Decree
This was written as part of the NaNoWriMo challenge. This is run every year in the month of November and the goal is to write 50,000+ words in 30 days. This was my submission this year. This was my first year taking part in the competition and I succeeded. The basic premise of this story is good vs evil and its effect on mortal lives.

Faith Abandoned
Inspired by a very weird dream, this story follows an ex-soldier turned priest suffer from a lack of faith and turn back to the military in a futuristic world overrun with demons. This is the first piece that I have written with a first person perspective.

Rex Quondam, Rexque Futurus
Since I was small, I was obsessed with Arthurian Legend. I managed to visit some of the famous sites in Devon and Cornwall and the story was inspired from the simple idea of "What would happen if he came back in a cyberpunk-ish world?" It's the not too distant future and due to some magic some of the Knights have been left as sentinels. This is the story of Arthur's reawakening.

Truly, Madly Deeply
This is a piece of original work based on a challenge request from a friend. The prompt for this was my default user icon on livejournal. The prompt was falling in love with someone when all you can see is their eyes. Unfortunately, this took a rather dark twist and turned into a nasty, nasty thing. It's a tale of obsession and love with dire consequences.

Vicious Justice
Again, another dark and gothic piece of fiction with no explanations or apologies. I guess that this would be a karmic reward. I don't know why the spacing of the words is important, but that was the way that I wrote it down and it strangely worked.
