There are never enough hours for all you want to do, but sometimes shortcuts are deadlier than being late.
The title is overly fanciful but when looking for inspiration, one must not turn one's back on the muse. They have a nasty habit of kicking you in the brainstem when you least expect it. This has not been the first attempt at creating a fiction storehouse, and doubtful it won't be the last. But at least for now, it exists.
The fiction stored here crosses several boundaries: fantasy, science-fiction, contemporary, futuristic, fan fiction based on television shows, original fiction, challenges and ideas. Only one common theme runs through the stories. They are all written by the same person. She just happens to have diverse tastes. Unfortunately, not all of them are finished. But that is the way of authors who don't have deadlines. They tend to run out of steam and let the story fail. She does try not to do that but it's not always that easy.
Feedback on a story is nice. So is any constructive criticism that you may have. Note that the word constructive was use. She tries to keep any person beliefs out of stories but some by their very concept tend to be controversial. She is always interested in your ideas, but if you flame her, she will flame you back and she is quite good at it. At the start of every piece of fiction, there is a rating and a warning. If you ignore these, and still complain, then on your own head be it. Stupidity is the one thing that she does not tolerate.
Bon, which was once simply a nickname, has become almost her given name, with more people calling her by this name than any other, is a computer scientist, or at least that's what it says on her degree. She supposedly studied for four years in a small college just outside Dublin but she found much more interesting things to take her mind away from the tediousness of study. Born over a quarter of a century ago, she picked up creative writing in secondary school and took to it almost instantly, even managing to get a science fiction hating teacher to appreciate the genre.
Currently, she is working full time doing Database Design and Implementation and designing websites and, of course, writing. She has no aspirations to become a full time writer as she knows that the standard of her writing is far below what it would take to get published but that does not stop her from spending some time each day writing or developing ideas. She is probably most proud that she managed to finish the NanoWrimo challenge in November, 2005.
There are currently four projects in the ongoing section. Two of these are long pieces of fiction that are, as yet, unfinished. The third is fan fiction challenge that she signed up to before she realised how much time it would take up. The fourth is a crossover piece bringing together a character from one of her old roleplaying games and a series of books that she has just finished reading.
