What
I look for in a colouring book • Primarily, I'm more concerned
with the condition of the inside of the book rather than the outside.
I don't mind if a cover has a tear, a dog ear, a stain, a bend,
an inscription or general wear and tear. I am concerned that the
inside pages be as clean as possible, although I am aware that
natural yellowing/aging does occur. I only bid on a colouring
book if the majority of the pages are clean. I collect all varieties
of colouring books, including popular children's stories, fairytales,
Disney movies, ABC books and quirky and nostalgic books like Rocky
& Bullwinkle or Barbie that remind me of my childhood!
Insofar
as my international tastes go, I have many colouring books from
all over the world, and I am determined to get as many different
ones as I can. So far, I have colouring books from Austria, Australia,
Brazil, China, Denmark, England, Germany, Holland, India, Ireland,
Italy, Japan, Korea, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden and, of course,
North America! I especially like Japanese colouring books with
pictures of graceful Geisha girls or else pictures depicting traditional
Japanese costumes or lifestyle.
I
also have an addiction to just about anything with the words Dover
Publication or Bellerophon on it, be it a colouring
book, a clipart book or especially Dover's stained glass colouring
books. If I don't already have it, there's a 99% chance I'll bid
on it!
