JAN
Jan was Dean's longtime girlfriend before he realised he was gay.  From what I have heard Jan is a very lovely person.  Dean told me so much about her.  He absolutely loved Jan to bits as he would always say.  When Dean came out to her, I'm sure it was a really rough time for both of them, because they really loved each other so much.  Most girls would probably walk away feeling betrayed by something like this, but not Jan.  She and Dean remained the very best of friends through and through.  I was very happy that they did.  It was good to see that they still cared so much for each other.
For Dean
I met a woman once at a violin masterclass called Helen Mountford who was in a band called; My Friend The Chocolate Cake.  They became to be Dean's and my favorite band and we saw them three times together.  We used to play and sing a lot of their songs together.  And this one was our favorite.
TALK ABOUT LOVE
The moon falls on the railway yard
We walk together arm in arm
Faith and blind devotion
Come glide along the rusted edge
Never question straight ahead
Right out into the darkest of the hours that life can bring
I'll stand beside you and hold you close
When you're in need of comfort most
Especially when you make no sense

This is what we mean
When we talk about love
This is what we mean
When we talk about love

I've found myself a hinterland
It's perfect for a short time
I think you'll find it likable
Please wait your hurry
Not too fast
Just hold out while the moment lasts
I know I used to wander
But I promise you that I'll stay
And if you make some strange mistake
Fall down hard, break your neck
I'll hang in there just right beside you

This is what we mean
When we talk about love
We had the best and worst of times imaginable together and  I  LOVE  HIM.
But I won't forgive him this time.
