I did but whisper His Name
I did but whisper His Name.
I came to Him, O my shame!
I called; “Father” He said;
“Son”
now my journey has begun.
I did but whisper His Name,
my soul was racked with
pain.
He brought relief. He brought peace
and a love that will not
cease.
I did but whisper His Name
and into my life He came.
He brought joy. He brought love
and promised a Home above.
I did but whisper His Name.
Jesus, He’s the one who
came.
God gave His son, who took
my place.
Oh that’s such amazing
grace.
I did but whisper His Name.
He healed my life, took my
shame.
His blood shed, He took my
guilt,
so on Him my life is built.
I did but whisper His Name
and since then I’m not the
same,
my pain is o’er, my sin is
gone,
forever more I’ll sing this
song.
I did but whisper His Name,
there’s no other name the
same.
Christ in me, my hope in
Glory,
this will ever be my story.
I did but whisper His Name!
