Boldan had Radak right where he wanted him; The evil General was off balance and his sword was out of the way. Boldan swung his battle axe behind his head, preparing for the kill. "This is revenge!" said Boldan. But before he struck, Boldan spun around. Gerral Vlax was screaming. Then Boldan saw why; Graynar was on the floor, blood streaming out his helmet. "Graynar!" Boldan cried. But in the seconds Boldan withdrew his attention from the General in front of him, Radak pounced. He shoved Boldan off the railing into the uncaring water below. "Die you idiot!" spat Radak. |

"Boldan!" Gerral cried, watching the helpless knight fall. Boldan broke through the water's surface, plunging deep into the darkness of the sea. He struggled with removing his heavy armour so he could break free of gravity, but to no avail. His armour was too tight, and the heavy water was slowing his movements. When all looked lost, Boldan saw a girl swimming towards him. She grabbed Boldan by his good shoulder with one hand, while she held a package in her other. "Muh mield!" Boldan said under the water, looking at the blue orb in the girl's hand. The girl activated the orb and a blue shield erupted around the two like a bubble. Within seconds they were pulled from the depths of the sea, through the floating debris and dead humans, where they rocketed towards the surface. |

As they broke the surface, they were quickly pulled from the water by the welcoming hands of Hurokol and king Vander. "Gerral you are safe!" said the King, hugging Gerral warmly. "No thanks to that shield father." "See," said Hurokol smiling, "I told you bringing the shield with you would safe your lives." "Indeed, but what aout Gray-" said Boldan who was interupted by the sound of fighting. Gunfar and Radak were fighting rapidly, and Gunfar seemed to be losing. "Be gone dwarf! I must make my escape." said Radak attacking the short foe with his blade. "Nay! You must pay for yer evils you have commited you mudman!" growled the dwarf. |

"Hurokol bring me a crossbow." said Boldan, observing the battle. "Here." said Hurokol handing Boldan the mechanical weapon. Boldan loaded a bolt into the shaft, while winding the weapon to the limit. "Hey Radak!" yelled Boldan. Radak shoved Gunfar to the floor to see who was speaking. He peered over the edge of the railing, where his eyes fell on Boldan. "Say hello to your brother for me." said Boldan pulling the trigger. Radak stood no chance; The bolt split his his forehead with such force that the evil general made a backflip before falling to the floor dead. |

Boldan set the crossbow down, he smiled in his victory, but was not satisfied with it. "What of Graynar." questioned Gerral, nodding her head towards the dead knight. They removed Graynar from the Dreadnought, while Boldan located Graynar's sword and placed it in Graynar's dead hands. Meanwhile, Gunfar set the Dreadnought on fire. The evil ship burned with huge clouds of exploding flames. Soon, all that was left of it was an army of black ashes floating on the water's surface. |

The Laquerius and Salutamus, continued towards Vazanay, with their sails blowing in the strong wind. In the cabin of the Salutamus, Hurokol and king Vander were talking, with the blue orb sitting on the table. "There is only one way to save Graynar now." said Hurokol to the King. "The shield. If we can preserve Graynar's mind and body, in the shield, until we reach Vazanay, he might be able to be saved. Vazanay has great wizards and doctors, I'm sure they can revive Graynar if he his brain is perserved enough. But it will take one day to reach Vazanay, and that will deplete the shield's power if we leave it active. And that means no gift for you, which also means we can not return to Sikaron with your son, to become king."
King Vander smiled, "Hurokol, you have saved my life, and returned my lovely daughter to me. That is enough of a girft as it is! Save your knight, and my son will still become king of Sikaron." "Oh many thanks great king Vander." said Hurokol, running towards the bed Graynar was on. He pulled out the package and lifted the orb from it. "Preserve." said Hurokol, leaping over the water and onto the Laquerius, swiftly placing the orb on top Graynar's chest. Within seconds a blue glow outlined Graynar's body, and healed his eye.
After telling Boldan, Gerral, and Gunfar, the good news, the crew's spirits rose at once. Every thing was going to turn out fine! Graynar could still be saved! |
