This lesson is an evaluative lesson because I am testing students
vocabulary comprehension, and their grammar skills orally. Students are to
take the information they have gained so far and evaluate the voyage of Odysseus,
and what role Odysseus played in his men's demise. Differentiated learning
will take place because three students will be working on the computer their
web assignment while class is participating in lesson.
Materials being used are Student journals, Vocabulary Test and Answer Key,
White paper, Markers and pencils, Textbook Elements of Literature, Grammar
worksheets and overhead, and Classroom computer and sign up sheet.

Today we have strengthened our knowledge of sentence structure and parts of speech.
Today we have gained visual knowledge based on making the map of Odysseus Journey
Today we used differentiated learning by having some students work independently on their web sites.
Informal Question and Answer time with Students
Question of the Day and your journal question for tomorrow is:
Evaluate: Examine Odysseus' situation.
Is he or his crew responsible for their ultimate destruction? Use evidence
to support your view point.
This Lesson Plan represents a basic outline of what will be covered during
the Fifth day. As with any lesson, this is a work in progress and
will be altered as need arises. All ideas present come from many years
of study as a college student and working professional, any thoughts expressed
here came from my brain and the knowledge I have gained.
