Fitting 44" tires on the Bomber!

I purchased two used sets of tires for the Bomber.
The first pair was a set of 44" TSL Boggers with less than 500 miles on them
that a friend scored off of E-Bay!

The next pair of tires was a set of 44" TSL Swampers with less than 2000 miles on them
from a good friend for a reasonable price.

I went ahead and bought Bart Super Trucker white 15 x 12 rims from
Truck & Van Specialties, Inc
in Hudsonville, MI.

Obviously I am going to need more room between the sheetmetal and the rotors.

I went ahead and ordered the 12" lift kit from Four Wheel Parts Warehouse.  It came with 4 new leaves (12" leaves with pinion angle bottom leaf for the fronts and 10" leaves for the front), two angled rear blocks, four new shocks with red boots, new extended steering block with raised steering arm, new "S" style drag link and extended brakeline brackets.
New 12 inch front springs with the 10-bolt front axle underneath converted to 8 lug.
New 10 inch rear springs with no axle underneath quite yet.
New raised steering block and extending steering arm.
44" Swampers mounted to the front axle.

   Left side.     Right side.
View from underneath.
14 Bolt rear end with rear disc conversion.  This should make this beast stop A LOT faster!

UPDATE - 6/11/03
<> Finally!  The Bomber is up on 44's!

Large and in charge.

Take our your tape measure and stick the dumb end to the ground and measure up 5'11".
If you could see that high, you would be looking at the top of my bed rails!!!  SWEET!

That bumper has to go!  It no longer protects the front end!

Got MOO? Do you have your MOO sticker?
