INTERVIEWS
D.D.:  And What bin do we put you in, in the record stores?

TIM:  Its like, what does it matter?  Just put them all in one big bin.

D.D.:  Put it alphabetically, you know.

TIM:  And people can just look and go, whats up with that? or That sounds interesting.  Or theyll just buy it because of the looks of the packaging or I dont know.

D.D.:  Are the songs from [your lastest CD] Tales of Sin and Redemption autobiographical at all or are they gleaned from your imaginary alter-ego, Too Slim?

TIM:  [Laughing].  Some of them are just stuff.  Theyre not really about anybody.

D.D.:  Well, in your liner notes, on Walk on Water and Soul Perspective, it sounds like you were getting into a head space where you were getting ahead of yourself or maybe expecting too much, or maybe expecting too much of yourself.

TIM:  Yeah.  Well, Walk on Water I wrote, funny you mentioned that Shania Twain thing.  Actaully I was working on a country project and there was this guy I know (Paul?    ) and I was writing songs with him in mind.  Actually Walk on Water was one of the songs I wanted to do as a country song or you know, that was kind of what I had in mind when I was writing it.  I have this friend of mine who is an older kind of guy.  He used to work on our van and he was always giving us advice.  And one day he said Ive never seen a man who could walk on water and I thought, Thats a good line.  Hes the one I heard refer to Crowbar Hotel Hey, meet me at the Crowbar Hotel.

D.D.  Weve got a Bad Manor here, a mansion house and a record it was named after, that was put out by a band called Crowbar.

TIM:  Oh, yeah?
