Chapter Two

“I don't know why we're even bothering, we all know she's gonna kick our ass,” Joey said.

“You never know,” JC said as they went down to the lane. “Besides, we're here for fun. It doesn't matter who gets the highest score.”

“Where are they anyways?” Chris asked.

Justin and Elizabeth weren't at the bowling alley yet. They were never late. It was usually Joey and Chris that were the last to arrive.

A few seconds passed and a couple came into the bowling alley, the woman being carried over the man’s shoulder.

“Put me down!” the girl exclaimed, hitting her boyfriend with the bag that carried a pair of bowling shoes.

The guys started to laugh. Justin was carrying Elizabeth inside, and she was hitting him in the chest with her bowling bag.

“I won't put you down until…” Justin started.

“Right, you won't put me down until I admit that you are the master at cards, but you only beat me once! I beat you like a hundred times!” Elizabeth said, still hitting him with her bag. “Now put me down or I'll hit you harder!!”

Justin didn't let her go. He swung her over into his arms and carried her over to where the guys were.

He reached his other friends and grinned. “Hey guys.”

        “Hey, having fun?” Chris asked.

“Oh yeah, lots of fun.” Justin laughed, Elizabeth still hitting him. “Come on, stop hitting me. We are in a public place. You could get in trouble for that if I get injured.”

“When you put me down,” she said calmly. “We're here to bowl, not for you to carry me everywhere!”

        “Just say it,” Justin said.

“Fine,” Elizabeth mumbled. “You are the master at cards.”

“The whole thing,” he told her.

“Alright fine.” She looked at the other guys. “Is he always this impossible?”

        Joey chuckled. “Pretty much.”

“I'd just say it if I were you,” Lance warned.

“Oh, fine.” Elizabeth sighed dramatically, then took a breath. “You are the master of cards and I am the luckiest woman in the world because I got you. Happy?”

Justin put her down then kissed her. “Very good.” He went over to grab a pair of rental shoes, leaving Elizabeth alone with the guys.

“Is he giving you a lot of trouble?” Joey asked.

“You have no idea,” she said, though she wasn‘t serious. Justin never really gave her any trouble. In fact, she loved it when he acted silly and did things like that.

She put her shoes on, then went up to the lane to practice her strategy.

Justin came back a few minutes later with a pair of bowling shoes on. Elizabeth was still on the lane practicing how to throw her ball. He couldn't help but smile as he watched her. He was so busy watching her, he didn't notice his friends were beside him.

“He's got it bad,” JC whispered so Justin couldn't hear.

        “I know,” Lance said.

        “Oh yeah,” Joey agreed.

Justin heard Joey’s words. “You know what?” he asked.

        “Nothing,” Joey said quickly.

“You guys are weird,” Justin said, turning his head to watch his girlfriend.

        “Look whose talking,” Chris said.

        Justin turned back around. “What?”

“If you stared at her any harder, your eyes would pop out,” JC said.

“You're hopelessly in love,” Lance added.

“Head over heels.” Joey sighed dramatically. “Who would have thought?”

Chris didn’t want to feel left out of the conversation. “You’re very happy,” he said finally.

“I know.” Justin smiled, not taking his eyes off of Elizabeth, who was now making her way over to them.

“Why are you all looking at me like that?” she asked. They were staring at her, but no one was looking at her more then Justin was. “What? Do I have something on my teeth?”

“No, um let's just bowl,” Justin said.

Elizabeth took her seat beside Justin. “What's with all those looks you and the guys were giving me?” she asked as Chris went up to take his turn.

Justin smiled. “Oh they were just saying how hopelessly, head over heels in love with you I am.”

“Is that so?” She planted a kiss on his cheek. “You're face is all red.”

“I know.” Justin smiled, he couldn’t stop now. “That's because you're around.” He kissed her on the lips. “And they're right about me,” he added.

She smiled and couldn’t resist, so she kissed him again.

As the two lovebirds were talking and kissing, a shadow from behind the snack bar appeared and started to walk along the lanes. His dark jeans and white shirt caught Elizabeth's eye, but she had to turn away when she was being pulled up to they're lane by Justin.

She followed him eagerly, but kept her eyes on the figure, but then the figure disappeared into the men's bathroom.

Elizabeth turned her attention to the guys. Chris was already going up to take his second turn. She sat on the chair between Lance and Joey, knowing Justin would get jealous. That's why she sat there.

As she figured, he had a look of confusion on his face when she didn't sit beside him. She grinned to herself. Loving him just got easier for her everyday.
