Chapter Eleven

Justin reached Elizabeth’s apartment and banged on the door a few times. It was really late, and he wasn’t really thinking. All he was thinking about was finding Elizabeth.

He didn’t hear a door open from across the hall.

Elizabeth’s neighbour, an old woman in her mid eighties stepped towards Justin in slow strides, holding a newspaper in her hand.

She wanted to whack Justin with it, but she restrained herself.

He still hadn’t noticed the woman coming towards him, with irritation showing all over her face. Justin fell to the ground and covered his face with his hands.

“Where are you?” he whispered. He hit the wall and started cursing.

“She’s not here,” the old woman said. “She left running down the hall a few hours ago.” She restrained herself from hitting him just yet. The guy looked like he had just lost his best friend.

“Do you know where she went?” He had a bad feeling about this. There was no doubt in his mind that Elizabeth’s ex boyfriend had something to do with this.

Would he try and hurt her? Kept going through his mind over and over again.

“No. And if you don't leave I'm going to call security.” The old lady interrupted his thoughts, bringing Justin back to reality.

There was a distinct possibility that Elizabeth was in danger and he had to help her. Before it was too late.

        “I’m sorry. It’s just she’s my girlfriend and…”

“, don't care. Leave the building. If you don't, I'll call security, you're causing a racket,” the old woman interrupted.

“Fine.” Justin was too upset to care what this woman thought. He walked back over to the elevator, many different scenarios going through his head of what was going on.

He got in his car and kept driving, unsure of where he was going.

“Let go of me you creep!”

Elizabeth was being held by the man in black. His hands were over her mouth and holding her down, well trying to.

“I'm only doing what Thomas says. Don't yell at me.”

“Why shouldn't I? You par-taking in this....this stupid plan!” Elizabeth yelled. Grabbing her hand away, she stuck her middle finger up at the guy. “Somebody will find me.”

Her whole body was freezing. Her skin was starting to turn white.

“What like that boyfriend of yours?” Thomas laughed as he entered the secluded room. “He could care less about what happens to you. I, on the other hand, love you to death“"

“You don’t love me. If you did, you wouldn’t be doing this to me.”

“I said I wouldn't kill you, but you have to promise to marry me,” Thomas said. He got Elizabeth out of Jonathan’s grasp, and held onto her himself. “Everything will be okay.”

“Let go of me!” she yelled again. “You are a pathetic human being. No matter what you do, my heart will only belong to him. I'd rather die than kiss you.” She glared at him.

Thomas' face got angrier and angrier. “Then you want me to kill you?” He didn’t want to, but he thought that if he couldn’t have her, then nobody could.

        “Yes.”

Looking away from Elizabeth, Thomas grabbed his gun from his pocket. He turned around and stuck it to her head, then took it away. Grabbing her, Thomas dragged her over to a chair then tied her up, then looked at Jonathan.

        “Kill her.”

“Yes sir.” Jonathan watched as Thomas left the room, then he turned to Elizabeth. “Thanks a lot,” he said sarcastically. “I don't like killing people. Especially people I like.”

“If you like me then don't kill me! Help me out of this place!” she pleaded. “I have a life. I have a happy life, please help me.” Now tears were falling down Elizabeth's face. “Please!”

“I'm sorry I can't,” Jonathan said as he pointed the gun in his pocket at her head. “5-4-3-…”

        Elizabeth closed her eyes tight.

“Anna, I can't find her anywhere! I've looked all over the city,” Justin said. He was really starting to panic. He had checked all over the city, but had found no trace of her. He was still driving around Orlando in his car.

“Calm down, Justin. You aren't making this any easier. Have you checked 'John Hall?'” Anna asked. She was so much calmer than he was.

        “John what?”

“It's where her and Thomas often went to be alone,” Anna explained. “He could have taken her there. Have you been there yet?”

“No.” He had never even heard of the place.

“Go there,” Anna told him. “Go now or we may be too late.”

        “Where is it?”

Anna gave him the directions to 'John Hall.' As soon as Justin wrote them down, he sped down the hallway to where the place was located.

*******
“5-4-3...” the man repeated, about to pull the trigger. He really didn’t want to kill her, but he was being paid a lot of money to do this. And if he didn’t go through with this, he too would be dead.

        Courtesy of Thomas.

A voice from behind him startled Jonathan.

        “Let go of her.”
