After sharing a quick
breakfast with the guys, Elizabeth headed out to the airport with Justin,
who insisted on seeing her off even when she said he didn’t have to.
He just wanted a little more time alone
with her. He had missed her so much, and their moments last night just weren’t
enough.
Elizabeth checked her bags in, then
she and Justin headed down towards where she would be boarding her plane.
Taking a seat next to Elizabeth, Justin
took her hand in his and smiled at her. “Call when you get back, okay?” He
always worried that something bad would happen to her, though he knew she
could take care of herself.
“I'll try,” she said. “Now you be good.
I don't want to hear that you did anything bad.” She broke out laughing,
Justin laughing along with her. “I'll call you when I get home, I promise.”
Her tone became softer and she couldn’t stop looking into his eyes.
She had missed him more then she wanted
to admit.
“Thank you.” He kissed her palm and
looked out the window as a plane was taking off. He realized then that he
wouldn't see Elizabeth again for a few more months. His eyes continued to
stare outside the window as Elizabeth caught him looking sad.
“We’ll see each other soon.”
“I know, but it's just not soon enough,”
he said, turning his attention back to her. “I'm sorry, I know I must sound
like I'm ungrateful that you came, but I just want to be with you so bad.”
“I know you do.” She touched his hand
with hers. “I want to be with you, too. Just think you'll be back soon.”
That made him smile. “I can't wait,”
he said, just as the intercom made it’s presence known throughout the airport.
“Flight 125 to Orlando is now boarding.”
“That's me,” Elizabeth said getting
up from the chair. Justn got up with her, not letting go of her hand. She
looked into his eyes and smiled. “I'll see you in two months.”
Justin looked around, taking the dark
sunglasses he had on his eyes to keep from being noticed, off and kissed
her sweetly. “I love you,” he said, placing another kiss on her, but this
time on the side of her cheek.
She shivered at his touch. She was
still getting used to be touched by a man again, but with Justin it was so
much different from Thomas. Thomas was never gentle like Justin was, Thomas
was almost violent.
“I love you too,” she said, pulling
her handbag over her left shoulder.
He hugged her one last time then watched
her head towards the plane.
Waving one last time to him, Elizabeth
disappeared. Justin placed his sunglasses back over his eyes then walked
out of the airport and into the awaiting limo.
---Later That Day In Orlando---
As soon as Elizabeth entered her apartment,
she noticed something had changed. She looked around trying to figure out
what it was. Laying there on the kitchen table was a note. She picked it
up and read it.
My darling Elizabeth,
I heard your coming back so I decided
to bring you a surprise. I will be there soon, don't try and lock the door,
I know you want to see me!
Love Thomas
She wanted to punch something, but
she refrained from doing so. “Damn him!”
“Miss me?”
Elizabeth turned around and shrieked
at the site of Thomas. His hair was all muffled and he was smiling at her.
He made his way over to her and tried to move away, but Thomas' arms quickly
encircled her waist so she couldn't move.
“Let go of me!”
“Now why would I do that? You just
got back and I missed you,” Thomas said, almost with a tad of emotion, of
truth.
“You did not. Now let go of me, you
creep.”
“No thanks.” Thomas smiled in an evil
sort of way and tried to kiss her, but she moved away and punched him in
the stomach, causing him to chases after her, pulling a knife from his pocket
of his coat. “I said stay still!” he yelled, grabbing her waist and holding
her still. He pushed the knife to her throat, about to cut her throat, but
stopped short. “No, I think I'll give you one more night to think your decision
through.”
She was so frightened, her voice was
very quit. “My decision?” She choked back a sob.
“Either you come back with me or I
kill you,” he said, easing his grasp on her. He stuck the knife back in his
pocket then completely let her go.
“Never!” she yelled. “Never in my lifetime!”
“Then you'll die. See you tomorrow
my love.”
Thomas kissed her. She pushed him off
her then watched him leave her apartment.
Elizabeth stood there, frozen, tears
streaming down her face. She either had to live with a devil, or die, what
could she do? She cried at the thought of never seeing Justin again, but
would rather die than be with Thomas again.
---The Next Day---
After returning from her shift at the
hospital, Elizabeth put her feet up, trying to stop herself from being scared,
but she couldn't. She more than anyone knew how dangerous Thomas was, and
she would either lose her life tonight or go home with the devil.
He had not told her when today he would
see her, but it would be tonight. Praying for God's mercy, Elizabeth looked
up to the ceiling.
“I'm so sorry,” she sobbed, crying
Justin's name.
Elizabeth made herself stop crying
then put on her coat and ran outside of the apartment building and started
running. Reaching the police station, Elizabeth tried to walk inside, but
a large man with a black hat and sunglasses grabbed her and threw her over
his shoulder and ran to an awaiting car.
The man, who she did not recognize,
stuffed her into the car then drove off.
While the car was driving, Elizabeth
began to shout for help but knew that wasn't going to do any good. It wasn’t
long before she could no longer speak. She just sobbed.
Suddenly the car stopped and she saw
the man get out of the car. He came back a few minutes later and opened her
side's door. “Get out!” he demanded.
He had tied a rope between her hands
so she couldn't move her hands to hurt him, and her legs were tied together
with another piece of rope.
She quickly obeyed the man, not wanting
to get him mad. She was beyond terrified of what he might do to her. Following
the darkened man to a private spot, she sat on the grass looking up at him.
“What are you going to do to me?” she asked through tears.
“Have you made your decision yet?”
a voice asked.
Elizabeth turned and almost screamed
when she saw Thomas in all black. Black jeans and a black sweatshirt.
She was freezing cold, she only had
on a tshirt and a pair of sweats. She had goosebumps all up her arms. “I'd
rather die then see your ugly face!” she yelled, shivering.
“Jonathan!” Thomas yelled.
The man's name was Jonathan Elizabeth
realized. Jonathan stepped closer to her and handed her a dark black coat.
“Put it on,” he ordered, but he didn’t sound as mean as he had before.
“Thank you.” She shivered and slipped
it over top of her t shirt. She looked back at Thomas. “Just kill me, Thomas.
I want you to kill me!”
*******
Anna was getting concerned. She hadn't
heard from Elizabeth since she got back, and Elizabeth had promised to call.
Pacing around her living room, Anna picked up the phone and dialed Justin's
cell. Maybe he knew what was going on, why Elizabeth hadn't yet called.
He picked up on the second ring. “Hello?”
“Justin, it’s Anna.”
“JC’s not here,” Justin told her.
“I'm not looking for JC, I need to
talk to you.”
“Is everything okay?” Justin asked.
“I don't know.“ She sounded very unsure
and very disturbed, but he hadn’t noticed. “What time did Elizabeth’s plane
take off?”
“Yesterday? Oh it took off about eleven.
Why?”
“I haven’t heard from her. Have you?”
“No, she must have forgotten,” Justin
said, now remembering that Elizabeth hadn't called him. “Do you think something
is wrong?”
“Listen, I'm sure Elizabeth didn't
tell you this but…”
Now Justin was starting to panic. “What
didn’t Elizabeth tell me? Would you tell me what you’re talking about?”
“Her ex has been in Orlando since you
left.”
“Her ex? That guy that…”
“Married her best friend ,yes. But
I'm scared, Justin. This guy is dangerous. He's been stalking her since you
left, and even before that.”
“Why didn’t she tell me?”
“She didn't want to scare you. But
now I'm concerned more then ever. This guy wants her back, and he'll do anything
to get her back.” And if Anna knew Thomas, anything meant anything.
“I'm taking a flight up there, I don't
care what you say, this is starting to really scare me,” Justin said.
He was already packing a bag, his ear
still pressed to his cell phone.
Anna could sense that he was rustling
things around. She could hear the rustling of clothes in the background.
“Okay, Justin,” she said. “I’m going
over to her place. If she’s not there, I’m afraid we know who has her.”
Justin wasted no time. He grabbed his
bag and within seconds was out the door. He didn’t hesitate.
Yes, they had a show tonight. But making
sure his girlfriend was alright was now was his number one priority.
